About Me
Hi! I am a newly registered Childminder in Great Sankey. I have a two year old daughter and decided to start childminding so that I could make sure I gave her the experiences I wanted her to have before she goes to school or nursery. I understand how hard it is to choose a childcare provider that you can trust, and my aim is to care for all of the children in my care the way I would want my daughter cared for. We have lots of fun going to classes and groups and fun day trips. We have passes for places like Chester Zoo and the Ice Cream farm, but also love playing in the park and at home. We have a friendly 5 year old golden retriever, who loves to come and greet his new friends, before hiding from their chaos!
My Experience
I have always worked with children and families, whether that by professionally or volunteer work. I have a BSc in Psychology with Professional Placement, in which I spent a year working in a specialist residential school. I then went on to complete a postgraduate diploma and MSc in Social Work with Systemic Practice. I am a registered social worker and was practising for 7 years in a variety of contexts across safeguarding, adoption and therapeutic work. I have done extensive training in child development throughout my career and have a special interest in Attachment Theory and therapeutic parenting. I have delivered therapeutic parenting training to groups and individuals and have supported parents of children of all ages to manage challenging behaviour and trauma. I have worked with children with a broad range of diagnoses and believe that each child and family are unique and should be treated as such.
My Qualifications
As above, BSc Psychology, MSc Social Work. I have completed additional childminder specific training with the council and Childminding UK.
My Availability
I am happy to discuss your individual needs. I only work week days, and at the moment only have 0-4 year olds (no school pick-up/drop off) so that I can focus on the needs of toddlers. My core hours are 8.30am-5.30pm,with additional hours available as an add-on.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.23 per hour
Starting at £56 per day, including all trips, activities, lunch and snacks.
I charge by day or half day, additional hourly rates outside of core hours, additional charge for breakfast/tea if required.
