About Me
As a mother of 7-year-old twin girls, Alex, founder of Cotswold Childminding Co,
understands firsthand the difficulty of finding trustworthy, quality and flexible childcare.
Alex also understands the problems that living in a countryside setting with young
children can present; navigating a tour of the Cotswolds whilst juggling nursery dropoff times with a busy work life is a unique challenge.
Alex has a natural affinity for children, an ability to communicate with them, a passion
for their development and a desire to protect their genuine wonder of the world. With
her own children’s school journey now underway, Alex saw an opportunity to branch
out and create a childcare option in the heart of the Cotswolds; to offer a nurturing
childcare environment surrounded by beautiful countryside,
My Experience
Having previously worked in a school, Alex understands how crucial the early years
are in a child’s life. The EYFS and its educational milestones, are closely followed
however, our primary focus is on ensuring children are happy, safe and having the fun
they deserve while learning and developing along the way.
Our Philosophy
We focus on providing a safe, secure, and happy space for your children. Our
approach is centred around:
• Outdoor Learning: We enjoy our rural setting and make sure we are out and
about daily. From exploring local parks to engaging in garden-based projects,
your child will enjoy a variety of enriching experiences.
• Home-From-Home Environment: Our setting is designed to feel like a second
home. With cozy spaces for reading, playing, and resting, children feel
comfortable and secure. We aim to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere
where every child feels valued and loved.
• Healthy Home-Cooked Meals: We understand the importance of nutrition in a
child's development. That's why we prepare delicious, balanced meals using
fresh, ingredients.
• Happy, Secure Children: Your child's well-being is our top priority. We provide
a supportive environment where children can express themselves freely and
develop their confidence. Our goal is to ensure that every child leaves our
care with a smile on their face.
• Nurture and Care: We pride ourselves on our nurturing approach. Each child
is treated as an individual, with their unique needs and interests respected
