About Me
I am a bubbly and enthusiastic individual currently studying at RGU in Occupational Therapy, looking for childcare opportunities as I wrap up my studies for the summer. I am passionate about working with children and creating a fun, engaging environment for them. In my free time, I enjoy baking, arts and crafts, and going on walks to explore the outdoors. I love bringing creativity and energy into everything I do, and I’m excited to offer my help in a childcare setting, ensuring children have a safe, enjoyable experience during their time with me.
My Experience
I have gained valuable experience in childcare through various volunteer roles and hands-on opportunities. While in school, I volunteered with Brownies, assisting with activities and helping the children build new skills in a fun and supportive environment. I also worked with young ballet dancers, providing guidance and encouragement as they learned and practiced. Additionally, I spent two days shadowing pediatric occupational therapists, which deepened my understanding of children’s physical development. Currently, I hold a relief (0-hour contract) position with a 12-year-old who has muscular spinal atrophy, supporting her in the community and assisting with her physiotherapy sessions.
My Qualifications
I hold up-to-date BLS training and manual handling certifications. I completed a foundation apprenticeship in Health and Social Care, along with several Highers and Nat 5 qualifications. Currently, I am an Occupational Therapy student at RGU, further expanding my knowledge and skills to support individuals’ health and well-being.
My Availability
As of the end of April I am available Monday - Friday.
