About Me
I'm a PhD student in Stoke with a range of nannying and babysitting experiences. I'm a really creative person and love coming up with engaging, imaginative activities—from arts and crafts to storytelling and role play. I'm patient, reliable, and enjoy helping children explore their ideas and build confidence through play. I love pets (I have dogs and a cat myself) and am always happy to help out with these as well.
My Experience
I have had various long-term babysitting and nannying roles in London (where I lived for ten years as an undergraduate onwards) and back in Stoke. This includes school pick-up and drop-off jobs, night-time nannying, and overnight or primary care nannying and babysitting. I have taken care of children from 6 months to 13 years old, and pride myself on being attentive, nurturing, and adaptable to each family's individual routines and needs. I aim to build warm, trusting relationships with both children and parents, and to create a calm, engaging environment where children feel safe and supported. I have also worked as a tutor and creative facilitator in a range of theatres.
My Qualifications
I have undertaken first-aid training and safeguarding training, and have also done a range of internal CPD's and creative training with arts companies around facilitating and leading creative activity with children. My nannying / babysitting experience is largely from roles I have held, not formal training. I have extensive hands-on experience through long-term nannying and babysitting roles. I’m first aid aware, highly responsible, and well-practised in creating safe, engaging environments for children of all ages.
My Availability
My PhD is almost entirely done from home and I have a flexible, freelance career as an artist. Therefore I am free for regular /ongoing roles or adhoc babysitting, depending when needed.
