My son has been with Sarah for the last 2 & a half years since starting at 10months of age. Sarah has nurtured him & encouraged him from learning to walk, talk, potty train to currently writing his name & numbers. He has developed so well thanks to Sarah's help & support & he loves going there.
Sarah encourages lots of out door play & brilliant creative crafty activities. Everyday is a new adventure with a different place to go & occasionally meets up with other childminders which has helped develop my little boys confidence & encouraged him to learn to play & share with others. My little boy loves being outside in the fresh air, learning about nature with Sarah. She is imaginative & creative which she encourages the children to be as well as educating them.
Sarah has been an excellent support through COVID-19, continuing to provide childcare for us (as both myself & my husband are key workers). She has ensured a safe environment has been available for all involved & continued to nature our little one's emotional wellbeing at this difficult time.
We feel extremely lucky to have found Sarah & would highly recommend her to anyone looking for childcare. Our little boy has thrived & we feel so happy to know that he is safe with Sarah & having such a great time each day. We love the daily updates via whatsapp & always feel very involved in what our little one is doing.
My 2 sons attended from age 1 and 2 until starting Pre-school at 2 and 3 1/2! Sarah has been amazing for our family and the only reason boys no longer go is due to relocating to London.
Sarah is brilliant with children, she is amazing at maintaining boundaries and helping children to develop emotional intelligence and learn to share.
She encourages creativity, imagination and is always creating brilliant creative craft activities as well as learning and educational skills. She also gets them outside, in touch with nature and for this whatever the weather.
The boys have become more independent and get themselves ready and enjoy learning new skills such as putting shoes on, doing up zips and tidying up! They have thrived being at Safehands their social skills have really improved.
Every day they are off out. Either tobthe park, the woods, waterways museum, cathedral, soft play centres, farms and a variety of activities plus meet ups with other childminders.
The boys confidence, speech, language and social skills have really developed since being with Sarah and we are really pleased at how much Sarah does with them and how happy they are. They love going and always tell us of what they have done. We also love the what’s app photos and updates and feel very lucky to have had Sarah and are so sad that we are moving away!
We would 100% recommend Sarah at Safehands Childminding and would encourage you to contact ASAP.
Many thanks The Lock Family. Xxxx
Sarah provides a fun, safe and stimulating setting. My daughter absolutely thrived in the 2 years she spent with Sarah. They are given so many brilliant opportunities including lots of craft activities and trips out to the library, local museums and the airport. They are encouraged to practise writing, reading, numbers, time and date, cutting - in a completely no-pressure, informal way, during fun activities, which was brilliant for early development of these skills.
They often meet up with other local child minders and their mindees which gives an additional opportunity for socialising in a slightly bigger group; great for confidence building!
Sarah is caring and friendly and the children love her. My daughter still talks about her all the time, even though she’s now at school (just), and she enjoys going back for half term play dates with her old friends there!
Loved the daily feedback via WhatsApp photos and an end of day chat, so I could see what my daughter was doing. I miss that!
My daughter attended from age 2 until starting Reception. Sarah is excellent at setting boundaries and ensuring children learn to share and consider others feelings. She encourages children to develop skills and do things for themselves, using scissors safely, tidying up and to be independent, putting on own shoes, jackets. Every week they visit somewhere like the docks water museum, Slimbridge wildfowl centre, strawberry picking, soft play centres, parks and playgrounds plus lots of meet ups with other childminders and their children so children are well prepared for being in larger groups at preschool or reception class. Overall I 100% recommend Sarah at Safe Hands Childcare.
