Outstanding Childminder

Debbie cares for both of my children my daughter (6) from the age of 2 and my son (4) from newborn. Debbie provides a safe, home from home, welcoming environment for the children to grow and develop in.

Debbie takes the children on outings to the local pond/park and playgroups where the children can meet others and play in different settings, meeting new and interesting people. Debbie puts on a wide range of activities like craft and musical fun which contributes to emotional fulfilment and stimulates development. Debbie is really caring and shows true affection towards the children, she is a great communicator who is kind and compassionate. If the children where to step outside boundaries, Debbie sets a firm but gentle approach to manage challenging behaviour which is fair and understanding. This in turn maintains a positive, trusting, therapeutic relationship with both children and parents.

Debbie is always liaising with parents to ensure an all-rounded care plan where everyone’s views are taken into account respecting beliefs and morals. Debbie is very reassuring and a natural carer, if I am to have any concerns regarding my children's development Debbie will always console and support us all showing her thoughtful and loyal personality. This is approached in a non-intrusive, honest and empathic manner which reflects why I never doubt Debbie's ability or advice.

Debbie keeps a record of children's skills and progress which all parents receive a copy of, I look forward to reading these and often laugh at the injection of humour that is added, this shows how well she knows the children! Debbie is always improving her knowledge and successfully completes appropriate courses, for the well-being of the children in her care. Good health is also promoted, manners and excellent hygiene, prompting children to wash hands when necessary. Debbie can provide flexible hours which aids to the consistency of care, benefiting families greatly.

I understand leaving precious young children to go off to work/study that you need to be completely happy and comfortable with care of them to ensure concentration on what it is that your doing. This transition is made easy, I feel completely confident that my children receive the best care possible when with Debbie.

Children are always enthusiastic when I tell them they are going Debbie's!!
They benefit from such joy, great fun and security in a warm and friendly setting. My children have particularly excelled in sharing and social skills due to Debbie's encouragement of positive relationships with others as she teaches children to respect and value each other.

One mothers day I received card with a poem in it that my daughter had been helped to decorate and I love it! These little things mean a lot which is now a keep sake that is treasured.

I am thoroughly happy with the high level of care that is provided. Debbie has a massive input in all aspects of Keelie-Mae's and Ivan's development and contributes to the happy, well balanced, bright, confident individuals they are today.

I admire and respect Debbie and fully appreciate all that she does for us.

I recommend Debbie as reliable, caring childminder.

Wonderful childminder

My daughter has been with Debbie for the past two years, since just before her first birthday. In that time my daughter has developed from a very clingy and withdrawn little girl, to a confident, sociable and happy child who begs to go to Debbie's even at the weekend, because 'Debbie's is always fun'. They go regularly to groups, so have the opportunity to mix with a wider range of children. They also go on other little trips, for example to the park, duck pond, and to see the reindeer at the garden centre at Christmas, which was a particular favourite. As a particularly anxious first-time mum I was extremely worried about leaving my daughter for the first time, but Debbie went the extra mile and would text me photos of her playing happily throughout the day when she first started, which was incredibly reassuring. The written reports which we get are full of photos and lovely examples of how she is developing. My daughter has made fantastic progress with Debbie over the past two years, and I could not think of anyone I would trust more to care for my daughter while I am at work. I am so glad I found her!

Very happy mother

My daughter Georgia has been in the care of child minder Debbie for four and a half years from the age of just four months.

During this time I have found Debbie's home to be the ideal environment for Georgia to thrive and be safely and appropriately cared for from being a toddler, through to nursery and now ready to start school - during this last month (September 2012).

Debbie's professionalism, care and support for George throughout this time has been total and I would recommend her skills and experience to any parents looking to place their children with a child minder who maybe unsure of taking that next step.
Georgia is a strong willed child and therefore my own experience of Debbies handling of my daughter has been one of excellent communication, understanding and support during this period.

My trust in Debbie has been such that as Georgia started nursery in 2011 and her first weeks of school, I entrusted Debbie without hesitation to take and collect her from both, due to my working hours making it impossible to do so myself.

The only reason for Georgia leaving Debbies is purely due to my Mother retiring from full time work and now wishing to support myself and spend more time with her Grand-daughter.

I would recommend Debbie to anyone who is returning to work and looking for a reliable, trusting and hard working childminder.

Happy Mom

My 15 month old daughter has been with Debbie for 5 months now. She settled in extremely quickly. She is excited to see Debbie in the morning and is always happy and full of smiles when she is picked up. Debbie regularly takes the children to a local children’s centre where they play and mix with other children and childminders. Debbie has helped settle my daughter into a sleeping routine which has made nap time and bed time effortless at home. Debbie encourages sharing, good eating habits, play, motor skills and speech development. I speak daily to Debbie about my daughter’s activities as well as receiving weekly written reports.

As a mother returning to work after a year at home with my baby I found it very difficult to leave my daughter. However Debbie’s warm, nurturing and professional service has allowed me to get on with my job without any anxiety. Debbie’s years of experience and expertise are obvious. I always know that my daughter is safe, active and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend Debbie to anyone seeking childcare.
