I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder with a BSc (Hons) degree in Speech and Language Therapy. I worked for 11 years as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area, predominantly providing support and intervention for children in the early years age group, and also working children who stammer.

As a Mum to two teenage children, I became an Ofsted-Registered Childminder in July 2012. We live within walking distance of Seamer and Irton Community Primary School in the heart of the village of Seamer, just 4 miles outside Scarborough.

I provide daycare for Early Years children from birth to 5 years, as well as care for school-aged children during the hours before and after school, including drop off and collection from the local school and preschool. Holiday care is available for children up to the age of 12 years.

My childminding setting provides a warm, caring and stimulating environment in which your child's physical, educational and emotional needs will be met and nurtured to give them the best possible start in life.

I provide a wide array of toys, craft materials, musical instruments and messy play resources with which to entertain and educate your child and have created a dedicated story and book area where a love of reading and listening to stories can be fostered. Our daily activities are planned to incorporate all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and children thrive in our stimulating setting.

Our garden is safely enclosed and incorporates a vegetable garden, which the childminded children will be fully involved in planting, maintaining and harvesting.

We are regularly out and about, with trips to the beach, forestry, parks, farms, Forge Valley, Sea Life Centre, local libraries and walks around our local area.
