About Me
My name is Gail. I have been a Ofsted registered childminder for 27 years
I have lived in Walkden for 39 years.
I have recently got married, and my husband helps the school children with their homework (if required) explaining things and allowing them to work out the answers for themselves.
I have 2 grown up children, and now 4 grown up step children and two granddaughters
My daughter lives in Liverpool and my son in Cardiff. Both children come to stay for a few days during the year. Both children attended St Pauls Crompton Street, so I have been going to the school for 33 years
.
I am ticket secretary, perform and help backstage for a local drama group.
I enjoy going to shows, walking and cycling when possible
My Experience
i have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 27 years .
I spend most mornings out and about with the children at Mums and Tots, story time at the library (which includes singing and crafts) toddler yoga, the local parks, feeding ducks and puddle jumping and occasionally wacky warehouse often meeting up with other childminders and friends with children.
A few of the other trips we do is to the local museums, airport and day trip to Southport.
I used all different modes of transport my own car, buses, trains.
I have a small enclosed garden with playhouse and various outdoor equipment ie slide, see saw, balls, scooter and bike. Paddling pool in the hot weather and sand tray
.
A few of the children I have cared for have been with me from babies to going to high school (one had been with me for eleven years) and i have recieved excellent references from all previous Parents.
I do before and after school drop off/pick up from St Pauls Crompton Street, which we walk to.

My hours are:
Monday to Thursday - 6.45am to 5.30pm
Friday. - 6.45am to 4.30pm

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£40 per day for full time.

Gail was recommend to us by 2 of my old brownies parents. My son, Jacob, has been with Gail nearly 18 months now, and he loves her.
Gail has been fantastic and helped with every aspect of his development including speech, feeding skills and walking. Gail always keeps Jacob busy he regularly visits toddler groups and the library as well as teaching him how to behave in the community ( he goes out for breakfast with other childminders and the children they care for and visits the shops).
Gail regularly sends texts and photos throughout the week, to let us know what Jacob is up to. I never worry if he is happy or safe - I know he is!
As parents the thing we value most about Gail is that she always tells us honestly about Jacob's day, if he's had a bad day (tantrums, not ate well, not slept) Gail will tell us.
We provide food for Jacob, but Gail does give him extra fruit and other foods to try
