My Summary
About Me
Hello!
I’m Natalie, single parent to two children aged 7 and 2.
My childrens parents will tell you that I am a baby whisperer and have a natural knack with kids. Children and babies alike, bond with me extremely quickly and have been known to ask for Natnat after the first day of meeting me.
People say I am trustworthy, honest, excellent listener, warm natured, fun loving, witty, easy going, bubbly, and have the uncanny ability to be close knit with your whole family.
A brief insight about me:
My first born arrived in 2017 and I juggled corporate work and single parent life like so many parents do.
I made a tough decision to work part time so to allow me to spend time nurturing and teaching my little one before ‘big school’ begun. This transition brought to life the passion I had to help parents who need extra hands to manage the daily bustle.
The professional corporate me was in charge of managing a team who focused on recruiting top talent for a busy IT department for a leading global company in the financial sector.
I also focused on the three early career schemes, the IT departments professional development training plans, BCS audits, 360 departmental recruitment and onboarding processes and more.
Redundancy came knocking in Oct 2019 after 13 years! Whilst covid caused global havoc for everyone, families still leaned on me for critical support while they had no choice but to do the unimaginable of juggling professional work, home schooling and family life all at once under the same roof. Extra demanding!
That’s where I have felt I’ve made the biggest difference to families - helping keep their sanity in desperate times of high stress and uncertainty by simply picking up the pieces; ensuring everyone was fed, house was tidy, kids taken care of with remote learning/homework, outdoor garden adventures, creative/imaginative play all while the parents did the usual 9-5.
Becoming a parent you realise just how important it is to have ‘a village’ of support around you that you can rely on when you need that extra pair of hands and I hope I can give that support to you.
Dec 2017 - Dec 2019
I supported a working family every day (5pm-8pm sometimes later) looking after their 9 and 13 year olds.

June 2018 - 2020
I am the right hand woman for a business entrepreneur mum of two young children primarily when dad is away with work. (Originally I cared for her 8month old baby and then a second baby born August 2019 which I cared for from birth onwards).
We have formed a strong friendship over the years, our children are besties in life and see each other as sisters, as for us adults we frequently hangout out and many great chats over meals or bbqs happen. joint family holidays and mummy days our take place too.
No doubt this will speak for itself on the kind of person I am to families - I become an extended member and a long term friend too!
Jan 2020 - May 2020
Mainly provided after school care for a 4 year old boy until schools closed their doors and homeschooling ensued.
Duties involved:
- online schooling with teachers via Zoom when schools closed
- homework
- games and activities
- meals and bath times
- light household cleaning duties
- keeping mum and dad watered and fed whilst busy working from home! (We know how we neglect ourselves!)
My Experience
I have lots of experience from a young age with looking after children aged from birth to 13 years as well as having the full whammy experience as a parent.
Nurturing comes naturally to me as I am very maternal. I grew up as the eldest of 6 children, so I was always hands on with helping out. As well as dropping into my mums after school club to lend a hand.
In my slightly younger days I lived with a family for over 3 years and frequently babysat their two children (2 & 5 Years); and also ended up looking after their friends children too.
Additionally, I was a private live-in-carer for a couple of years to people who required full time assistance with their daily needs.
To this day I am asked to housesit and babysit children (including the fluffy kind) as they know I’ll look after them like my own.
