Unprofessional
She was dismissive of our children's needs, criticizing their eating habits and emotional responses. She also displayed unprofessional behavior.
It became evident that Karen was emotionally immature and ill-equipped to handle the demands of caring for children with special needs. She seemed to use the position to fulfill her own emotional needs rather than focusing on the well-being of our children.
She expressed enthusiasm for the job, and willing to learn about disabilities but didn't read up before hand or take in information from the 4 tester sessions. She used to call my daughter outbursts paddy's.
Karen quit after only two weeks of working with our children. This was far too short a time to establish a meaningful bond. She initially gave a month's notice until January 1st but then quit unexpectedly on December 13th, breaking her written agreement. She blamed her mental and physical health issues on our children's special needs.
Having her leave in a rapid way made my oldest upset and thought she had done something wrong. I had to reassure her on a number of occasions that is was a Karen problem not my daughters. She said she didn't even say goodbye.
Karen was unable to control and protect the safety of two small children outside of a pram. She blamed the children for her inability to manage two non-verbal toddlers.
When she gave us two days notice of her not returning Monday. She blamed it on my boys disabilities. Karen on many occasions said my children were destroying her mental and physical health.
She showed me reviews on the day I met her but I should of asked for ways of connecting references. As it was not provided. Which is my fault.

Dear Jade,
I am so sorry you feel this way, unfortunately for me this decision was not made lightly nor was it anything negative towards your children what so ever.
My working environment was not suitable for me and I was not going to spend 9.5 hours for multiply days in a situation I didn't have to be in.
Unfortunately we were not a good match.
