My husband and I moved to Milton Keynes last year just before the birth of our daughter. The move to a new town, no immediate family & friends around and both our work places in London meant long hours away from the baby once my maternity leave ended. Also, our daughter has severe eczema. Finding the right childcare was therefore our most pressing concern.
All that concern was put to rest when we met Carole and her lovely family. Right from our very first meeting with Carole to our daughter's first settling in day, everything was so smooth and the interaction professional yet so friendly - we knew it was the right decision. Mehiera took to Carole almost instantly (and so did we!) and has settled like a dream. Mehiera is 14 months old and has been going to Carole's for the last two months. It definitely seems longer than that.
Carole is brilliant with the children. She is a natural at comprehending the children's needs and is so loving, so giving. I'm always met with the sight of happy children across different age groups. Carole's husband, Dave and their two daughters are equally wonderful and engaged. The Culver home provides not only a safe and warm environment but also a fun, stimulating one that encourages children to explore and interact. Mehiera is a spirited child and Carole nurtures that spirit- we have noticed so much development and confidence in just two months.
In this short time, we have also seen nasty eczema flare-ups, diet restrictions and Carole has been on top of it all. In fact, the Culver family has ensured special attention during those times. I know Carole is genuinely concerned and takes such great care of Mehiera- offering advice and even offering to maintain a food diary. As a parent who is particularly worried about their child in this regard, there is no greater reassurance. ?
Carole goes out of her way and is genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the children in her care. She is everything we'd hoped for and more, and cannot recommend her enough.

Carole and her family have looked after my daughter since she was 6 months old and my daughter absolutely loves them. Their home has a great family environment and all the kids are very happy there. We don't have any other family in Milton Keynes and Carole & co have very much become our family there. They are so kind and always willing to go the extra mile to help out. Very much recommend.

Thought I would leave a review for Carole who looked after my 1 year old daughter full time. Carole provides a safe, loving and stimulating environment, my baby girl is very very happy and never has any separation anxiety. She is excellent at planning activities for the children, with daily activities. Carole bonded extremely well with my daughter, she was always happy to be dropped off in the morning and her setting provides a home from home feel that will make any child comfortable and at ease and if a cuddle is needed, its there. I can't thank Carole and her family enough for the time, effort, patience and devotion she has shown me and my little girl throughout her time with her. I would highly recommend Carole to any prospective family!

Carol has been looking after our son for over a year now. She is caring, dedicated child focussed and has been really helpful and flexible to our needs. Her home is lovely and welcoming and as well as having so many opportunities for play and learning, there's also a relaxed, warm atmosphere- a sense of 'home from home'.
I am so confident that our little boy is entertained, encouraged and so well cared for practically and emotionally. He loves her and her lovely family and I feel so lucky that I chose her to look after him. I know he couldn't be in better hands. That knowledge has made going back to work after maternity leave so much easier!

My LO has been going to Carole’s since he was 7 months old and he’s nearly 4 now and he’s loved going there. My experience of Carole and her family is that she has been more than just a child minder to me as she has gone the extra mile.
The Culver family have a beautiful home with lots of space and fun things for the children to play with. Even though there are children running around the home is still very clean and tidy.
Carole has a very kind and understanding nature and has been very supportive not just to Christian but to myself over the years. The children get to do lots of fun things like go to the park, outdoor play like with the water/sand table and there’s many development toys around.
I have previously and would in the future recommend any one to Carole as a Childminder and feel I was very lucky to find her.

Carole and her husband are looking after my 18 month old little boy 3 days a week and my 4 year old through the school holidays.
From the very beginning of the first visit Carole and her husband Dave were very welcoming to all of us and couldnt have made me and my children feel more confortable. My little boy settled very quickly and has gained more confident as the times goes on.
Carole really listens to our needs and worries and made me feel relaxed when having to return back to work after maternity leave.
Both of my boys love going to Carole's and it makes me feel at ease that they are well looked after and loved like I would.
Their home is very clean and tidy and very welcoming to our children.

My daughter has been going to Carole's since she was 9 months. She's 3.5 years now and still attending Carole's. I knew the moment I met Carole that I just felt in my gut that she was genuinely a lovely person and this was the childminder for us. She was also recommended to us by two different people. She made it incredibly easy to go back to work and leave my baby. We had settle in days and on my first few days back at work Carole would send me messages to reassure me. I did not worry one little bit and still never have when Lucy was in her care. Any accidents Carole will send me a message as soon as she can with a detailed message of what happened and a picture so I can't imagine it looks worse than it does.
Very flexible for us, if we have to attend a course with work or go to a funeral or anything Carole won't hesitate to help us out.
Her grown up daughters are also lovely and a credit to their parents. They can babysit. One of them can cut your hair (she also did Lucy's first hair cut with a certificate and a clip of her hair).
Daddy Dave is a friendly giant. He has really helped with the man fear our daughter used to get. And him and Carole make a great team. So a lovely family that will make your child feel right at home and will happily chat to you about updates with your child.
I feel like my daughters development has been enhanced by attending Carole's. I've seen Carole sit at the table teaching her puzzles and playing the shopping cart game (a memory game). Lots of outdoor play in the garden, at the park and to the lake. The kids are never screaming or out of control when I pick up. They all seem to have the same temperament or they are all just happy and settled there.
Recently my daughters preschool (not one listed on here) had been down graded to adequate which Carole informed me about as soon as she heard. I didn't get the official letter until later on that evening. Carole showed her concern and was more than happy to keep Lucy for the rest of the day until I had the information I needed. She had Lucy's back 100% and I found myself convincing Carole that it was ok for Lucy to go back - as Carole was in mumma bear mode worrying about Lucy. I love Carole and her family for how they love Lucy. What more could you want from a childminder?! We don't think of Carole as our childminder anymore but as a friend. Carole is a fantastic childminder ; my daughter Harriet settled in straight away from day 1 and loves going there every day.
From day one I knew Harriet was in safe loving hands.
Carole's home has the perfect set up (play room filled with fun and developmental toys) it's always clean and tidy and her communication is spot on. Carole not only offers a loving happy environment but is excellent at all aspects of her role.
Carole provides a communications diary which is filled in daily recording all you want to know about how her day has been.

Carole was so very helpful when I needed short-term childcare at very little notice, she went out of her way to do the best for my little boy, and I would have been lost without her.
Her home environment is ideally setup for children of all ages, with a great range of space and activities to choose from.
