Suzy has been with us in December 14 on a consultancy basis for 3 days. Not only did we love her bubbly cheerful and easygoing personality a lot, she is also a fountain of wisdom and helped us enormously in a very short period of time.

With an active 2 year old and a 2 months old baby (as well as busy husband that is working all hours), I wanted to have some advice and help to get to a workable routine that fits the whole family as well as getting some advice on how to make it easy for our 2 year old to happily accept the newborn.

Suzy has given me lots of hands on examples of positive parenting for my 2 yr old which we put into practice immediately and Suzy coached me all the way along. At the same time we were sorting out my little ones feeding patterns (he was drinking far too much and too often resulting in lots of wind) as well as trying to minimise the night wakings / feeds. She came in and evaluated the situation and sleep "problem" very quickly and after 3 nights my 2 months old slept 8.5 hours in one go for the very first time. And Suzy always got good smiles and cooing from my 2 months old as she was tuning into him extremely well.

My other half who is not often impressed by people was absolutely loving her as well and he did get a bit of coaching as well once he was available on the weekend.

When it comes to babies and young children you can't find a better source of knowledge. It's not a one fits it all solution that you are getting but a maternity nurse that listens to your baby and to your needs and knows how to think outside the box.

Having young children as rewarding it is will always be hard work, but Suzy left me with lots of tools, new knowledge and a good routine where I can feel that we have positively managed chaos and lots of fun as well as happy children instead of a sinking ship.
