Karen was strongly recommended to us by our son Oscar's godparents. Oscar was looked after by Karen from one year old until he was two and a half. The only reason Oscar left Krazy Kidz was because we have relocated.
Karen is highly regarded, well qualified, highly rated with many years experience and is rated by Ofsted as outstanding.
During his time with Karen Oscar has gone from being a shy, reserved baby to a bright, bold and confident toddler and Karen has played a huge part in that.
Karen made great progress in helping Oscar with eating solid foods - he had suffered with gagging since weaning.
We were very impressed by Karen's excellent record keeping, the personal development folders and daily diaries she completes.
We loved reading Oscar's diary to find out what he had been up to that day. The photos she takes daily and the constant communication of Oscar's activities and development is first class.
It is obvious how much Karen cares for all the children in her care and how much pleasure she also takes from being a part of their life. The list of activities and trips she organises is endless.
Oscar has enjoyed learning from so many projects and has enjoyed so many trips out (parks, museums, the seaside and further afield to Mini Moos, York Maze and Down at the Farm to name just a few).
Karen is a warm, friendly kind and extremely caring person who has looked after Oscar like one of her own. She goes way above and beyond the call of duty and does whatever she can to help make our lives a bit easier.
Our main sadness from leaving the area was the fact we had to take Oscar out of Krazy Kidz.
Karen is not just a childminder, she has become our friend and has been, and will still be, a special part of our lives, especially Oscar's. We are very lucky to have found a very good friend for life.
We have no hesitation in recommending Karen as a childminder, you won't find anyone better!
