Hello,
My name is Katie and I am a secondary school teacher with 13 years experience. I would love to spend my school holidays helping children learn through play. I am also available for weekend work or occasional weekday babysitting.
I have a full clean driving license and thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. I love all elements of creativity and am a strong believer in the importance of early years education being of high quality. I am trustworthy, reliable and kind. I have the ability to set a regulated environment that ensures safety and behaviour management, but with a smile and comfort.

My Experience
I have practical experience with a range of ages, from professional and personal settings.
I am currently a God Mother of two twin boys aged 6 years and have often babysat for their mum. I am also a godmother of a three year old girl and frequently take her on days out. I regularly babysit my friends 2 year old son. I have three nieces, aged 1,3 and 7. I frequently plan fun days out for us all and manage their differing needs well.
Through my education I have completed placements working with children from 6 months to 12 years. I have also completed my teacher training so have a teacher number, QTS, and regular DBS checks. My current employment is in a secondary school which means that I work with students aged 13 and over. I have covered a short placement span working with children with SEN however do have some students in my current classes that have specific requirements! Can discuss these further on request.
Despite being employed in a secondary school, I have completed placements in primary schools.
I child minded every Thursday and Friday from 6-8 for one family with an 8 year old child. I also did one summer working for a family with three boys.
My Qualifications
BND Level 3: Early Years Education.
BA Hons Education and Child Development.
PGCE, LifeLong Learning. Grade: Outstanding Practitioner
All of my GCSES were A-C inclusive of English, Maths, Science and IT.
My Availability
School holiday- any hours.
I am realistically looking for blocks of work however I will consider day work on a one off basis.
I am free evenings and weekends (with prior warning)
