- Monitoring his levels of dysregulation and doing physical exercises to help calm him. Training and coaching on this will be provided
- Supporting him to recognise and manage his emotions in appropriate ways
- Following recommendations from occupational therapist and speech and language therapist

- Supporting him to gain life skills such as keeping his room tidy (ish) and making basic food
Elliott is an intelligent engaging child who is fully verbal who when well supported and cared for is a joy to be around. He can have some challenging behaviour so a successful candidate will need a big heart filled with kindness and patience and you will be fine. He has poor understanding and awareness of danger, he is stronger that he realises much of the time and when upset he can run off and climb dangerously so when not at home he requires your full attention. He’s a very affectionate boy once he gets to know you so be ready for lots of hugs! He loves Pokémon, power rangers, Harry Potter and gemstones/rocks.
Paediatric first aid certificate essential. DBS required. Recent safeguarding training needed or to be done upon successful application.
Special needs experience desirable although training will be provided.
Bonus points for knowledge and understanding of SPD and PDA
