Fantastic childminder

My 3 year old daughter has been with Gilda for almost 2 years. My daughter is suspected ASN and I never felt she had much of a bond with her first childminder. With Gilda, she took to her immediately and we have seen her transform socially under her care. She has a great understanding of my daughter's different needs. Gilda is a warm, chatty and lovely person. Very flexible and obviously cares deeply for all of her kids. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Great childminder

Our two children were with Gilda, son for 2 years (since he was 12 months) and his younger sister for 6 months. Gilda is very affectionate with the children. She is very warm and caring and it's clear that the kids love her. We were never in any doubt that the children were happy and safe with Gilda. Our son didn't settle well with a previous childcare so it was such a relief that he was happy and loved going to Gilda's. As well as playing at home, they regularly attended playgroups and visited parks and the kids loved this. Gilda was always very flexible and we wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

Very Helpful, Highly Reccommended

We have been using Gilda now to look after our little ones 1 & 3 for about 6 months.
She has them in the day in a playgroup. It's a very bright modern room with lovely amounts of light coming in.
Much nicer than any of the playgroups we went to before we met her.

Gilda has also looked after the children in the evening coming to babysit at the house.
She even tidied the place up when she was here. It is a real reassurance knowing if they wake up in the night Gilda is familiar with them and will be able to settle them easily. She will easily put a 1 and 3 year old to bed - something we would never ask friends to even try!

Gilda's location is very handy because there are other childminders working on her street who are in touch with each other, so if one is off or whatever they can cover each other and arrange safe passage of children.

I had no hesitation to book her because of the good recommendations she had locally. It's possible to guess Gilda might have rubbed someone up the wrong way - she is a bit of a character. She's a passionate person who speaks her mind so she will probably not be everyone's cup of tea, but we like her.

Also my children have never been taken by her to an old people's home (?!) - but if wanted to she would be welcome to. I am sure this would be very good for the little ones and perk the oldies up no doubt.

She has lots of toys and is as flexible as she can be to fit our schedules always offering to cater for the children or stay later when babysitting etc. She went out of her way to arrange santa visits and presents for the kids at xmas and has all the certificates and things as well as the experience you might want too.
