I was so thankful when Sarah rang me back after I had made multiple frantic calls to various child care services trying to get a childminder/nursery spor for my 2.5year old son who had not been looked after by anyone but family after a change in work circumstances mid-Covid.
She went out of her way to be so accommodating to our childcare needs and my son got settled so quickly.
He's now gone on to pre-school, but I feel Sarah set him up for this and he's settled so easily there too.

My daughter started with Sarah at 14 months old and had bad separation anxiety. Sarah put my mind at ease the moment I went to visit her home and I knew straight away that my daughter was going to love it there. After a couple of weeks my daughter began to go to Sarah and put her arms out to be taken off me and for her this was a huge step as she was still wary of some family members at this point. Sarah is so professional and gave me fantastic advice not only as a childminder but as a parent and helped me establish a routine when I was struggling with bed time and also gave me ideas of ways to include my son with taking care of his little sister too. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a caring, professional and amazing childminder who will make both you and your child feel safe and secure.

Thank you so much, I so much enjoyed looking after your little one, and it was so amazing to see the development in her.
Sarah is a fantastic childminder. Our son has been with Poppins childcare for three months, and he settled in with Sarah as soon as he met her. We had no difficulties leaving him at all (even though he was only 9 months old). He was so happy from the word go, and seems to thoroughly enjoy his days at her setting. Sarah is friendly, professional and very experienced, and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her to anyone.

"Nanny" Sarah is a fantastic childminder. I found her through attending a local music group and after seeing how wonderful she was with the children she was looking after I was very happy to be able to put my son in her care when she had a space.
The electronic diary Sarah uses is wonderful for getting updates through the day and seeing pictures of my son happy and playing in different groups is very reassuring. Sarah will always message with a picture of him happy if he has been tearful when I drop him off.
When I needed extra days due to having to increase my working hours Sarah was happy to have my son for the extra hours even though it will only be for a few months before I go on maternity leave.
Sarah is wonderful with all children and always does all she can to accommodate any changes needed or extra sessions.

Sarah is a modern day “Mary Poppins”. Sarah is very warm and caring. She has a lovely nature about her and loves children. My son is autistic who Sarah has taken under her care and made him feel comfortable. In return has given him a lot of confidence. It is the happiest I’ve seen him which makes for happy parents.
Always had issues over the school holidays with my son stressing and becoming anxious. He went to Sarah’s for under 4 weeks and never had one complaint. Very happy boy. Sarah plans daily activities and is out with the children all the time.
Would highly recommend Sarah for your childcare needs.

Sarah has been looking after my twin girls for four months now. Sarah has a child centered approach to childcare which I really value, my children are happy when they are with her. Sarah takes the children out to groups so that they get a variety of play opportunity. She has a lovely way with the children and has really taken the time to get to know them. She is flexible and really thinks about the children's needs and how to best meet them, you can tell she has a lot of experience in childcare. I was impressed with how much trouble she took to get to know them in the early days which helped a lot when I was finding the thought of leaving them difficult.
Sarah keeps me updated with an online diary. Its nice to get the messages while I'm at work, she will often add photos of the girls and I like to see them having fun at groups or having lunch in town.
I am very glad I found Sarah, I have been able to return to work without worrying about whether my children are happy. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Sarah has been looking after my son for 7 months now for a couple of days a week and he absolutely loves it! I looked at several childcare options but once I spoke to Sarah I knew she was the right person to care for my son.
Everything she does is focused on the children's wellbeing. She has created a happy and safe environment for them. Would not hesitate in recommending Sarah to anyone.

We have found Sarah after my daughter had a bad experience in a nursery, and she was doing very well with my daughter! From the first day she come home happy and she can't wait to go again.
I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone, she's the best.

When I had my twins I needed some help after I picked my son up from school. Sarah and I worked together on a month to month basis and agreed times and days that worked for both of us so she could provide the support I needed for my family.
Sarah is amazing at what she does and is very professional and friendly.
The babies felt comfortable with her and our son is very fond of her. I would highly recommend Sarah for anyone looking for childcare.

Sarah at Poppins childcare has been a godsend for me and my family. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her caring, supportive, honest attitude. My daughter thinks she is wonderful and often speaks of her at the weekend. I feel completely confident that she is doing her absolute best for my daughter and this is shown by the way my daughter has come on in her speech, behaviour, manners and social skills.
I can't recommend Sarah enough xx

I can honestly say im so happy i found Sarah as a childminder. I needed to go back to work early so needed childcare for my baby of just 3 months old. From the moment i visited Sarah even before Ella was born i knew she was the right person to look after my baby. She shows so much care towards the children there that day that i could see the type of care Ella would recieve! After visiting Sarah once Ella has been born any doubts i may have had were put at ease through seeing Sarah with Ella, it was obvious that Sarah was someone who was going to love and care for Ella when i had to go to work. We have now been with Sarah for 4 months and Ella adores going she never has any issues being left and always has a beaming smile for Sarah when we arrive and always a beaming smile when i return, always signs of a happy baby! One of the things i like about Sarah is she is always happy to give advise or point out some tips that may help and as parents we can always use some more tips to help out! I also love the diaries and the pictures that we get sent so i can see what Ella gets up to on her 'Sarah days' and it seems there is never a dull day! I would recommend Sarah at Poppins Childcare to anyone!!

I leave my 6 year old with Sarah often she is so good with him as sometimes he's not so sure me leaving him as he dose not like being some where new . But after one day he is fine he loves it Sarah is so good with him. The next he's like buy mum cause he feels at ease at Sarah's.Sometimes I have to work over and Sarah is happy to keep him longer which is always reassuring as I never know when I have to work.
Kieran loves playing with Ella and on the occasion Sarah's husband is there Kieran and him get on and chat for ages . Just a generaly lovely family who I'd trust my life with . Big thank you for looking after my son without these hard working people I / we couldn't work .????

Sarah Looked after my son from when he was little until he started school. Having never had a child minder for my children before I was understandably nervous. I was recommended to her from a friend. However as soon as I met Sarah I was put at ease, there were other children whom she was caring for and she was giving them individual attention caring for each of their needs. My son warmed to her straight away and I never looked back. She provided flexibility and if I had to work late I would let her know in the morning and she would confirm so that I could make alternative arrangements If I needed too.
Sarah is very professional with the children and I felt totally comfortable leaving my son in her care. She is a very caring lady and I know that the wellbeing of the children is paramount to her.
I would definitely recommend her and will continue to have her as my babysitter in the future. ( my son really misses her! )

I have 2 children and both go to Sarah for 2 days every week. My son is 2 years old and he asks 'when can I go see Nanny Sarah?'. This for me is the best feedback any childcare provider can hope to get. My daughter doesn't speak very well yet but I am sure that when she does, she will be asking the same!
Sarah is so naturally at ease with children and I know that they are being cared for like they were her own children. Highly recommended!

Sarah was great with my son at first which led me to believe I could trust her.. I confided in this woman to do with my postnatal depression I unfortunately suffered with after having my son.
Since I have told Sarah we were moving to a different childminder she has used my postnatal depression gainst me by reporting me to the nspcc amongst other things about my partner which she had no right to!
She cannot be trusted with confidential things and gets rather 'nit picky ' when told something she does not like to hear!
She refused to look after my son for an additional 15 minutes one evening as I had work commitments. Which meant I felt I couldn't trust her to look after my son so he will not be returning to her setting again!!

Thank you for your review. I do feel if you are going to post a review of my service, it would be nice for me if you provided a correct account of what actually happened.
I am not a nit picky childminder, my many parents will be happy to provide references to this. I go out of my way to help all of my parents including having their children on days they do not attend and for longer hours. Having said this, all my parents understand that on occasion it may not be possible for me to have their children for longer, I may have my own plans. On the night requested I did in fact have a pre booked doctors appointment for my daughter, as I had only been asked in the late morning to stay on, I had to decline so that I could make this appointment with my daughter.
Being unable to look after your little one due to a pre booked appointment has no bearing on my childcare skills or if I can be trusted, I always help my parents when I can.
Your little one received the best of care, he was in the setting at the same time as the reviewers that have given me positive feedback. As you can see I have lots of positive feed back.
Your issue regarding the comments on post natal depression are not related at all to the care I give, I was very supportive and I strove to help in all areas. I am sorry you feel as you do but the call I made was regarding safeguarding and I am duty bound as a childcare practitioner to keep all my children safe, if I feel at all that I needed to contact an external body it was for the pure care of the child and nothing more.

Poppins childcare is a lovely home from home setting for anybody looking for a flexible and caring childminder. The children are taken out to various attractions and toddler groups most mornings and regular excursions to the local farm are a regular afternoon treat.

Thank you so much for you kind review, it was a true pleasure to care for your little one, I wish her all the luck for the future at pre school.
My daughter has been looked after by Sarah 2 days a week since she was 3 months old.Sarah looked after her exceedingly well as a bab,y making sure her needs were appropriatly met alongside those of the other, older, children.
As she grows older and more active Sarah is able to accomodate her changing needs within the daily routine and supports the choices we make regarding weaning etc.
Sarah communicates really well with me as a parent and I know she will contact me with any queries about my daughter.
When I drop my daughter off with Sarah I am happy in the knowledge that she will be treated as if she is one of the family. That is not to say that Sarah does not meet the highest professional standards in terms of a childcare setting, because I feel she exceeds these. It speaks more of the excellent care I know she will receive whilst she is there.

Sarah has been looking after my Son Daniel since Summer 2013. I have found her to be an excellent childcare provider who offers a caring and stimulating environment for all the children she looks after.
She has a great choice of toys and activities in her home and children are guided in play. One of the points I particularly like about Sarah is that she takes the children to different groups everyday allowing them the opportunity to socialise and mix with other children by joining in the various arts, crafts and activities offered. Daniel comes home every day with something he has made or done at a class which is lovely to see and be part of his days activities. He also takes part in messy play, songs and story-time. In the summer there are plenty of trips to the park and they get out into the fresh air as much as possible.
During school holidays they have trips to music/movement classes held at the Lights or trips to the farm (with parents permission and parents fund) I feel this adds variety to Daniels days and allows him increased opportunity to mix and socialise and learn about the world around him.
Sarah is easy to communicate with and is very caring and loving with all the children. Since attending Sarah's setting Daniel has increased in confidence and developed lots of great self care skills including beginning to get himself dressed, putting his shoes and coat on etc, he has also developed with his manners saying please and thank you for example. Sarah works hard to encourage good manners and caring for each other in her setting which leads to a calm environment.
I would definitely recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a childminder who is dedicated to child development and well-being. Sarah is a very experienced and knowledgeable childcare provider and this is evident in her work and how much she cares for the children . Daniel is certainly very happy in Sarah's care.
