My children have grown and learned so much being in the care of shining stars, I could not ask for more love and support and have been like a family to me and the children, they are genuine and caring people and my kids have thrived being in their care. I am so thankful to you and will always be. Thank you so much. Xx

This is the first of a kind for my son who is now 2yrs old. I discovered Shinning star minder when my son was 16months old and it is the best place so far. I actually became interested when someone wrote in the review about Aunty Beatrice been real life “Mary Poppins” so I decided to be nosy and I am glad I found them and they became family not by blood. I was so anxious leaving my son but they came through for me. They made My return to work from maternity leave easy My mind was at peace knowing my son was in safe hands. Uncle Mark and Aunty Beatrice treats my son as their own. They are reliable,listens and give day to day update of his activities. I believe my son knows more park and kiddies places than me as it’s one of the so many activities Shinning star minder do by taking them out to places. Task motivation,reading,learning and play and more play😁. I was amazed when my son would come home and drop new word each time at just 18 months old. What I realised, is to also effectively communicate with them certain needs and situations as they try to accommodate to the best of their capability and this makes it a win win for everyone. Thank you for all you do for me and my son. I love this family.

We like any other new parents were really anxious and apprehensive of sending our little one away. But work life doesn’t really allow you to do both of them together. We were looking for childcare for our 9 months old baby as I was about to join back after maternity. We tried Nursery, It didn’t work out for us, after that we found a Nanny but things fell through. As they say everything happens for a reason and suddenly one day I found shinning stars and messaged them about availability and got a response from them that they do have one. We went to their place to meet them. Honestly from the day I met Beatrice ( Mark wasn’t there) it all just felt right. The way her children were playing with our boy Krishiv, it all started making sense.
Since then we have never looked back. Beatrice and Mark are God sent people to us. These guys are so humble, down to earth and loving. They just treat Krishiv like their own son. They get worried when he is unwell, they feel happy when he finishes his meals and you can just feel how pure their feelings are. Krishiv just loves going there. We are really grateful that we found them.
Now I understand why someone in one the reviews called her Mary Poppins. She really has that magic touch!
Honestly we just love these guys! They are like second parents to our boy!

My 2 Daughters have been going to Beatrice and Mark for a short time and have learnt so much, them and their children are the most loving, caring and nurturing people me and my partner have ever met. Words can not describe how much my kids love going to them, so many fun activities throughout the day, their structure is very engaging for all the children and we get constant update on what the children do throughout the day, lovely videos and photos.
I can not thank Beatrice and Mark enough for everything they have done for us and our Daughters. They are outstanding Childminders 🥰

When I saw Shining stars reviews, I thought this is too good to be true and my friend told me, is she Mary Poppins? Well, guess what? She is Mary Poppins and she lives at Shining Stars 🌟 . I never expected it but it didn't take a second for my kids to settle. The love for Mark and Beatrice and her children was instant and it's still going strong. Their children are pure blessings. The activities are just wonderful. My 2 sons have done and discovered so much since they joined in March, they've been to the park, to the museum, butterfly house, librairy, soft play, parks, saw animals... Kids are exploring and then put into practice what they've learnt during the day. Also Shining Stars keep you informed with pics and videos via WhatsApp so your heart is always at ease. There's so much to say but let me make it short: you want peace of mind whilst you are working, choose Shining stars you won't regret it.
Thank you Mark & Beatrice for making the separation an easy process 🙏🏽

I can not thank God enough that made it for me to meet these lovely, caring, passionate people towards their Job. Beatrice and Mark you are soo wonderful. Each day that pass I am very greatful with my kids of the services we receive from shining stars.
My children love spending time at shining star, they connected with Beatrice, Mark and thier children. Beatrice has a mother heart towards all children. They have natural love for children. Even at short notice Beatrice and Mark are always available to help me out when I need them. My kids have learnt so much from their kids.
Beatrice and Mark you have wonderful, respectful and loving children and am greatful that my children are with you.
We are loving every bit of the time we spend with you ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️. May God continue to bind us together.

Beautrice and Mark are absolute God sends, my son has been with them since he was 8 months old and it was not easy leaving him going back to work after maternity. From the moment I met them and the first day of leaving him there I have not looked back. My son settled in very well as it is home from home, they are so nurturing and caring and are such positive people. My son has progressed so much and I know it is down to how they structure his day and he absolutely loves them. I cannot recommend Shinning enough, feel so blessed we found them and they are caring for our son. Thank you guys

I cannot praise Beatrice and Mark highly enough for the wonderful service they offer. They are the ultimate 'home from home' setting and I feel truly lucky to have found people who care for my daughter as if she were their own child. From the first moment we met them, they have welcomed us all into the family with such warmth and love and my daughter took to them immediately. Their own children are an absolute delight and my little one talks about them all constantly - asking every day if we are going to see them and always wanting cuddles.
Mark and Beatrice are very communicative - sharing photos and messages through the day of what the children are up to, and have been so understanding and flexible about our often erratic work schedules. The children do all kinds of activities and outings, and I can see how my daughter is developing and flourishing in their care. It is clear that this is far more than a business for them - they truly love children and are wholly invested in the little ones in their care.
I can't imagine a better place for my precious little one to be when she can't be with me - in just a few short weeks, Beatrice, Mark and the children already feel like an extension of our family.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Beatrice and Mark as childminders for our daughter. They have had a truly positive impact on our family. Returning to work after maternity leave was so much easier than I thought it would be, because I knew that Jessica was in such a happy and supportive environment. Beatrice and Mark go above and beyond in so many ways. The children they look after have all kinds of fun and stimulating experiences. They go on regular trips to playgrounds, parks, local libraries, play groups and soft play - even to the Horniman Museum and butterfly house! At their home, the children do art and crafts, music, drumming, trampolining and have a brilliant range of toys to play with. They also really do support the children's early learning. I was amazed when Jessica recited the entire alphabet correctly and could spell out the letters of her name! Mark and Beatrice put a lot of effort into teaching children to share and to be polite and kind. They have three lovely children of their own who set a great example. I really believe that Jessica has benefited enormously from her time with their family. She is confident and happy around other children and I'm sure that this is largely thanks to her time at Shining Stars. In short I couldn't recommend them more.

It is hard to put into words how incredible Beatrice and Mark are. We sent our daughter to them from aged 9 months, and we quickly knew that we had made the right choice. It's hard leaving your baby for the first time, but they nurtured her as though she was part of the family, and kept us informed with messages, photos and videos many times per day, as well as a diary at the end of each day detailing everything she had done. She was with them from aged 9 months to almost aged 3, and in that time developed so many wonderful social skills which must surely have been helped along by spending time in such fantastic care. They place huge emphasis on the way children play and share together, and their setting is a truly loving environment. Beatrice and Mark have three wonderful children of their own, and the children they care for are made to feel part of their happy home environment. The children take part in a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities, and Beatrice and Mark go above and beyond in taking them on trips to parks, soft plays, libraries and playgroups.
We were so sad when we relocated and had to move our daughter on, but will always be grateful that we found Beatrice and Mark to care for our daughter at such a formative stage in her life. They are the most caring people we know, and are so accommodating and willing to do anything they can to help the children and families they work with. If you are looking for childcare in the Lewisham area, please do ask Beatrice and Mark to put you in touch with us, as we would not hesitate to give you a glowing reference for them.
