Luz has been with our family for nearly a year, and due to my husbands job we are
unable to continue to work together anymore.
When we originally were going through the interview process to find a nanny for our 14
month old son last year as a first time mom I found it extremely difficult to find someone
whom I could Trust blindly with our son. Luz arrived for the interview and within minutes
I knew she was the one. Like Mary Poppins her bright positive energy took over the
room.
Luz really is a special woman, when she was home with us it was as if my son had two
mums. Her kind, nurturing and loving ways made it easy for my husband and I to be at
peace while we worked.
Luz immediately worked with us to come up with healthy routines and activities for our
son. Keeping him busy daily with activities in the morning and different play groups and
play dates in the afternoons. She respected our way of parenting and worked with us to
find ways to better improve our son’s development.
Along side keeping our son busy she cooked for us as a family and helped with light
housekeeping. She was always conscious of our son’s nutritional intake and making
meals which he loved.
Luz is a super nanny, when with our son she was always present and had her eyes on
him at all times. Sending us photos through the day for us to feel involved in his
activities and whereabouts.
Luz and her family became a part of our family, we traveled together and in such a short
period shared memories I’ll hold close to my heart forever.
Not only does my son love her like his family but my husband and I do too.
As a first time mom I’m so grateful for everything she brought into our lives, the endless
knowledge and love.
We will miss her dearly and hope she finds an amazing family that will appreciate her
for the truly special woman she is.

Luz has been taking care of my 3-year old twin boys since they were only a few months old. She has grown to be a member of our family whom we cannot manage without. The boys adore her and always look forward to her coming. Even on weekends when she is not working, they ask for her. What makes Luz unique is that being a nanny is not just a job to her- she wholeheartedly cares about the well-being of my children- ensuring that they are happy, content, well-fed, and cared for. When they get into their 3-year old tantrums, she is extremely patient and takes the time to understand what they need and figures out how to calm them down, including giving cuddles and reassurance when it is appropriate. I often travel abroad for work and have a peace of mind when I do because I know that Luz is like a second mom to my children. She is also very flexible in her role and will offer extra support where it is needed, be it picking up milk from the shop or helping to tidy up the house. Plus, she is an excellent cook! She is not a fluent English speaker but all of her great qualities and her hardworking nature more than make up for that, plus she provides an opportunity for children to pick up another language. We will soon be moving away, and so Luz is looking for another home. We will surely miss her but her next family will surely be gaining a gem of a nanny!
