We can't recommend Karis enough as a nanny! She’s been an incredible source of support for our family since May 2025, caring for our newborn and lively 2.5-year-old on a part-time, co-caring arrangement.
Karis is a positive, genuine, and kind person. Her calming presence was a lifesaver on our most chaotic days.
She’s a natural with children, right away she was able to form a strong bond. Karis has taught our music-loving toddler useful songs to help him regulate his emotions and energy at the end of the day. She has handled all aspects of childcare, from bottle feeding and nappy changes to supporting our sleep routines and preparing meals, as well as proactively supporting us with light housework. Karis would also often take our toddler to the park and baby on walks. She handled our toddler’s challenging moments with a calm and professional demeanor, and she's genuinely invested in our children's holistic development.
We feel fortunate to have had Karis's help and can’t recommend her enough to any family looking for a caring, experienced and professional nanny.

Karis has been helping us with general housekeeping and looking after our baby from when he was six months old, including babysitting when we went out in the evening. She’s totally reliable and a proactive and clear communicator, so it’s easy to plan. She gets on really well with our baby and he has a great time with her. She’s also very personable and a nice person to have around (much of the time she’s been with us we’ve been at home too), always energetic and cheerful but also someone you can talk to about your concerns (and as first time parents, we have many!). She’s happy to take direction on how to care for the baby, and is really good at taking initiative and noticing the small details about how we do things, and seeing what other bits of housework or prep need to be done. She also shares her extensive experience with caring for small children in a really friendly and helpful way. We’re looking forward to having her care for the baby as he grows up!

Karis has been absolutely wonderful with our 1-year-old. She is caring, fully attentive, and most importantly, truly focused on building a genuine connection. In just a couple of sessions, she managed to create such a strong bond that our little one’s face lights up with a huge smile every time she sees Karis. Both my wife and I are delighted with the care and warmth she brings, and we’re very happy to continue using her services regularly.

I would highly recommend Karis for any nannying/babysitting work. She worked with my family over the Christmas/New Year period, was an absolute pleasure to deal with AND my daughters loved her. She took care of them both (a toddler and baby) with no fuss whatsoever...bringing them to various classes, playing with them, bathtime, potty trips, dinner, bedtime.. I don't think there's anything she can't do! She is clearly very experienced with a fun and thoughtful attitude. Thanks so much Karis for all your help and look forward to working with you again.

Karis babysat for our 7 and 9 year old one evening in December. The kids enjoyed her company very much. She clearly knows how to work with kids and is great at it. If I need a babysitter again I will definitely contact Karis.

My partner and I got in touch with Karis to look after our 8 nieces and nephews (ages 4 - 13) during our wedding reception, and they did an absolutely amazing job. All the kids adored both Karis and Margot, which meant they stayed with them happily in a separate room while we got on with speeches and drinking! I am so glad I was able to find Karis on here, she helped out so much and made a potentially stressful part of my wedding day go totally smoothly. My sister said "they are exactly the kind of people you want looking after your kids". Thank you so much Karis and Margot!

I found Karis on this site when I needed childcare for one afternoon/evening for my two year old whilst visiting London. Karis was responsive and really put me at ease. Despite my worries about leaving my child with someone unknown, he had a great time with Karis. Karis sent me updates of their adventures throughout the day and successfully navigated bedtime and my child slept through for the first time in ages and woke up calm and happy. Karis was relaxed, responsive and sensitive and immediately managed to draw my child out of their shell. I will definitely use Karis again and have already passed on their details to friends!

Karis has been taking care of our daughter E on a full time basis since May when my daughter was 11 months old. She has been fantastic. It's not just her experience - she's intelligent and good natured so very easy to work with and applies herself to the job. She's taken excellent care of E and we've made so much progress in these past few months across food, sleeping, transitioning from bottles to cups, etc. Karis initiated many of these changes and we could have open constructive conversations together on how to tackle them. My daughter was even a bit sick during this time and Karis could not have been more supportive during this. I honestly don't know how we would have managed without her since my husband and I both work. E will really miss her. I also think of her a someone who would be a good influence around my daughter. We highly recommend her and hope to keep working with her in the future.

Karis is a kind, intuitive and incredibly competent nanny. My husband and I had been struggling to get regular childcare and when I found Karis, we were both working full time and living in temporary accommodation. But from the moment she started, she negotiated all our chaos with good humour, efficiency and warmth, taking our 18 month old, Peggy, out every morning and afternoon to playgroups and parks, playing with her in the house, making her meals, doing her washing and helping me with her sleeping. Peggy was very happy to see her and I could concentrate at work knowing that such a qualified and thoughtful person was at home with my child. I really cannot recommend her highly enough.

Karis has been so brilliant with our baby girl twins, who are a handful to say the least! She first started helping out with them when they were only a few weeks old, and was incredibly soothing and competent with them (a godsend as I was reaching my wit’s end!) as well as helping with baby-related housework when needed. She enabled me to have some precious naps and headspace to myself during those crazy early weeks with two newborns.
Then from when they were 4 months old she demonstrated she was immensely capable on her own with them on a more regular basis. Always reliable and cheerful, great communicator, with boundless energy no matter what the babies were like!
I’d have no hesitation in recommending her for any work with babies as she’s been brilliant with our two on every occasion.

Karis is such a lovely lady. I desperately needed someone to keep an eye on my 23 month old shy and very attached little boy for a little over 2.5 hours whilst I sat for an exam in London.
It really was a godsend to have K there to take care of him and she did so amazingly well. I generally practice gentle parenting and was glad she has a gentle approach too. Absolutely no tears and he was actually happy! He was fed and we’ll taken care of.
I could tell from the photos she took when they went to two toddler groups in the area to keep him occupied. I needn’t have packed so many toys!
Knowing how my son usually is, I was very glad Karis was accommodating and kept him close by so I could see him straight away after my exam.
Karis’s communication leading up to the day was very professional, warm and friendly and she was very reassuring which put my mind at ease even before the day we needed her help.
I highly recommend Karis and only have positive things to say about her. My only gripe is that we live so far from where she does!!!
Number one on my list of babysitters!

Karis is a fantastic babysitter to my now 9 year old. He really looks forward to seeing her and has lots of fun with her, and I know I can trust her to make sure he's well looked after. She is very conscientious and helpful and is careful to ensure she knows all my requirements on bedtime etc. Absolutely first class.

Karis has been looking after our son two mornings a week for the past few months, since he was 4 months old. She is an absolute delight and has become totally invaluable to us! Our son adores her and she is always punctual, efficient and smiley. She frequently takes him out to the library/ stay and play etc and is great with feeding/ putting him down for naps etc. I couldn’t recommend her more highly

Karis came to look after my sons (3 & 5 yrs old) for an afternoon and both boys had a really lovely time with her. She was punctual and professional. I would book her again and definitely recommend.
