Phil has been tutoring my son (8 years, Y4) in Maths since just after lockdown. Despite the sessions taking place at 7.45am before school, Leo is always really excited and enthusiastic and this is down to Phil's engaging and patient approach. Leo's confidence with Maths has grown immensely and he never complains about having to log on. Phil gives great feedback and has always been really helpful with any maths related queries I've had outside of lesson time. I would highly recommend him.

Katie was apprehensive at first having an online tutor lesson, as this is something she had never done before. However, being tutored by Phil has made such a positive difference and helped build Katies confidence & knowledge and she is now enjoying maths and it has shown in her school work.
She felt relaxed and really enjoys the lessons!
I highly recommend Phil as a tutor if you’re considering this service.

We contacted Phil earlier this year. We were struggling with our 6 year old. We were both sceptical whether this method would benefit our child. We originally agreed to try it for 6 weeks.
We are 8 months on now and the improvement is astonishing. Without realising Phil had constructed a programme for Oliver and the results are plain to see. We are over the moon with the improvement and hope it continues. I can't recommend Phil enough. We are definitely booking him for our little girl when the time is right. Genuinely can't believe the difference despite no school for over 6 months. Phil you are a superstar and both Louise and I can't thank you enough.

My son started tutoring sessions during lockdown to support home learning. Phil was very open to discussing options prior to starting and instantly built up good rapport with our 8-year old. Despite the challenges of tutoring over Zoom, Phil is able to keep the sessions engaging and makes the sessions fun. My son really looks forward to his weekly lesson and his confidence has grown over the past 6 months. We alternate between English and Maths each half term and the extra sessions have definitely helped reinforce some key Y4 concepts as well as starting to get a head start on Y5 too! We would highly recommmed Phil!

Phil has started tutoring English for my son during the first lockdown as I was working and couldn't give the attention he needs. Since the tuition started my son developed confidence in English and has improved in various other ways. He looks forward to the tuition and we continued working the tuition as he gets that extra help. Would definitely recommend Phil .

Phil was a great choice when my twins needed extra help after lockdown. We still have the odd session now and he's happy to fit us in at short notice. The children felt relaxed and encouraged from the outset. He is so professional in his approach but so friendly and chatty with the children. He new their personality and abilities after the first half hour and knew exactly what to do and where to start. Phil had it all covered.
I still pinch myself- I dont know how he got my daughter to enjoy maths! We had a weekly hour one 2 one session and hes always been flexible if we've had to change the slot. He gladly stays to discuss their progress, nothing is ever a problem.
I definitely recomend Phil if you want your children to enjoy their school work again!

We are absolutely delighted with the support we have received from Phil with tutoring our son he is really professional in his approach of teaching and communication, he is so friendly and positive My son feels really comfortable and at ease with Phil at all times, and i feel it has greatly improved my sons confidence with his learning.
Phil is also accommodating and flexible in arranging tutoring times which i found was great for us, he also takes time to give us feedback on how our son is performing. Everything has been amazing We cannot recommend Him enough.

We found phil to be a very enthusiastic and capable tutor.
For us sessions have been 1 to 1 online video calls (as at the time of writing we are in cv lockdown) which has worked great - no different to being in the room.
Phil has turned out to be very flexible in catering for anything we wanted be it 11+ prep or extra curriculum work for our 10 year. Makes lessons seems a bit like a chat while actually learning a lot which is great for our son who looks forward to them.
Allways available for chats about progress and the like.
Would definitely reccommend.
