My son was being looked after by jo and jon.
I can honestly say there setting is amazing, every child that goes there is loved an cared for as a if they were there own children.
The setting itself has everything you could ask for an more. Theres always an exciting activity or adventure for little ones whether its soft play or bug hunting.
It truly is home from home its comfortable, clean and very child friendly they really couldnt do any more.
My son loved both jo an jon and so do i. The only reason my son was moved was due to distant. We were both devastated to leave an could not find another childminder that came even close to jos standards.
You are both amazing and thanks so much for all you have both done for me and reg.
He will really miss you both. Xx

Our daughter had been with jo for 2+ years, she adored jo and the rest of the family, she always enjoyed herself, jo provides great activities for the children in the home or out of the home on days out and playgroups, this was our daughters first setting from being 1 years old and she settled in perfectly thanks to jo's caring nature, she also went above and beyond to help with our daughters speech problems and to help us accommodate family & working life. I would highly recommend jo.

Jo has looked after all 3 of my boys aging from 10-2. I can say after her being my 3rd childminder she is by far the best and most trusted person I have left my children with. Her home is very welcoming and child friendly, she has activities and events she does regularly. I will miss her greatly. In the words of my children "best childminder ever"

We first met Jo and Jon when we were looking for a childminder for my 4 year old son. I was nervous about sending my son to a childminder but they both were lovely and my son was comfortable straight away with them. My son started going to Jo in September and very quickly settled, he would look forward to going after school. Jo would send photos of what my son was doing and how he got on at school. If my circumstances were to change in the future I would go back to Jo and Jon in a heartbeat.

Our daughter (Lexi now 13 months) has been with JoJo now since April/May 2016. We have found Jo to be an extremely compassionate & capable individual. She is caring and nurturing and shows genuine joy and affection when minding our daughter as well as having a great sense of fun. She clearly has a wide breadth of experience in looking after children and has always made us feel confident in her ability to look after and care for Lexi. This is super important to us because Lexi is our first child and Jo is our first experience of child care. Jo is excellent at planning activities for the children, with daily activities such as soft play, crafts and baking. We are always excited to see what she has been up to and what pictures/paintings we have to keep. Furthermore Jo has played a huge part in our daughters development in that she has given her guidence in manners, play, sharing and of course her loving care, all of which she documents daily in Lexi's own book for us to read when we get home. I cannot stress enough how I would not hesitate to recommend Jo (& her Husband Jon) as a childminder and have found her to be extremely competent, conscientious and trustworthy. I would have 100% confidence that she would be able to offer any child in her care everything that is required and more.

We couldn't have made a better decision when choosing Jo and Jon to care for our son and we are extremely happy with his care. He has made incredible progress, which is due to the caring, nurturing and loving environment he is immersed in when there. Our son attends 4 days a week and he is so happy there that he never wants to leave! Since the age of 10 months, Jo and Jon have guided him through so many milestones, and Jo regularly provides opportunities for him to thrive, learn and most importantly of all, have fun! Jo is diligent in also monitoring progress and communication is excellent, providing feedback about his daily routine and giving advice about how we can help our son to succeed even further, through the use of a daily diary and our chats during drop-offs and collection. He is provided with healthy meals, and has access to a wide range of toys and areas in which to play, including outdoors. We always wanted our son to attend a setting where he could become part of the family, and be loved, and that is exactly what we have got. So thank you Jo and Jon, we couldn't possibly ask any more of you.

Our baby has being going to Jo Jo for the last seven weeks and my partner and I are really pleased with his development and he has changed so much since he has been going there.
He seems to really enjoy going and has made a few friends too.
We really like the environment he is left in at Jo Jo' s and have regular updates on what he has been doing in the day and many photographs, this is reassuring as we know what things he has taken part in and he looks happy in them.
Also he has been taken out with Jo Jo and her partner Jon.
He is given healthy food and beverage throughout the day and this is noted in a little lovely book that has all of his progress etc in.
The setting Jo Jo and Jon has is well equipped for children and there are many toys and equipment to keep our baby entertained inside and outside.
We would recommend Jo Jo and Jon to any other parent.

Thank you for your kind words Sandy, we have really enjoyed getting to know you and M, we are so pleased with how M has settled, we are also pleased that you and the family are happy :-)
Our Son has been coming to Jo and Jon for over a year now and it wasn't an easy road for him as he is a clingy little boy unlike what I was used to with my eldest who would go off to is nursery without even waving goodbye, however Jo and Jon have been so patient and caring for him and made me feel so confident that he is happy every time he is there. I never have left feeling he isn't settled or unhappy.
My son also has a Speech and Language delay which Jo has been amazing at helping him with. She has put in extra care at getting specialist involved and communicates with my regularly on how he is getting on as well as working with him eveytime he is there with all there activities they do.
He comes home with lovely personalised cards, paintings, pictures which I just love and will treasure as he gets older!
Jo and Jon are not only my Son's childminder but they are loving parents and you can see that this is what makes them so great at looking after children and makes me feel so confident that my little boy is so happy there every week and why I will be so sad when he has to leave!!

As a full time working mother of twins and dissatisfied with the nursery - I took my children straight out and looked for a childminder. I'm not from Birmingham originally so lacked recommendations from friends so took to this website.
Jo has been a rock of support caring for my twins from 2.5 to 4.5 years, she is understanding, calm and very caring and even supported me through potty training!! My twins still go back to Jo's during half term and don't want to go anywhere else.
Highly recommend for all ages!

My daughter loves coming to see Jo and Jon and all the other children it's a lovely homely environment most of the time my daughter doesn't want to come home she gets excited to go all the time they are both very friendly and will do their best to help when in need my daughter has come on so much since starting there wouldn't change anything at all lovely couple :)

I have since moved to water orton and straight away took my son out of nursery and he started with Joanne and Jon in march 2013. Since my son has been there he is so happy. Where as previously before when he was at nursery he would cry before being dropped off and was very unhappy there. My sons happiness speaks volumes and he has learnt so much under the care of Charliebabies....
Layton has been learning lots of structured things with them ensuring that he is well prepared for school and the level of effort they put into caring for their children is fantastic. Layton often says when he is at home with me that he wants to go to jojos.
Layton especially enjoys lathe creative activities he does and he evens gets a trip to the park to play which is so good for him.... He loves his new friends and I'm sure he'd move in if he could...
I am having another baby in a few weeks and when I return to work then jo and jon will also be looking after him for me.
Thank you so much to both of you for everything you do for us, I'd never ever put my children in a nursery prior to attending a school nursery ever again,you will always be my number one choice. We couldn't be happier.

Aww thank you so much, positive feedback really does give us a confidence boost!! We were a little apprehensive at whether we could meet Laytons needs after attending such a reputable nursery but he has settled so well, he enjoys all of the activities and his concentration and confidence has come on leaps and bounds :-) he made friends quickly and is such a happy, contented little boy x

As soon as I met Jo, I knew she was the only person I wanted to look after my son while I worked. She is a complete natural with children and my son loved her from day 1. I had never used a childminder before so was obviously a little stressy in the beginning, but Jo made things easy for me. I got little text updates throughout the day, pictures etc.
She's patient, caring and dedicated. Zavion (my son) asks me when he's next going to 'Jo-Jo's' and runs up the path to her. Jo makes sure that the children she looks after are entertained, from days out, education at home, art, creative play, to dancing around the room like a lunatic with them (I have witnessed this from the window and made great watching!) :-)
I am kept informed of what kind of day Zavion has had, and love all of the paintings and art he comes home with. He has learnt so much over the last year and thats with a big thanks to Jo.
I would recommend her to anyone looking for childcare. Absolutely amazing lady, who has gone above and beyond to make sure me, and zavion are happy. xx

I have known Joanne for almost 12 years now, I have known her personally and know how much of a kind and caring person she is. She is dedicated to her job, and children but most of all making a difference in their lives.. She is hands on and creates a friendly environment for the children she cares for... She has a strong network of business associates and children centres and is always looking for activities to take her children to in order to encourage learning through play. She is organised and very structured where it comes to her caring for children... I have a young son who is 3 and he absolutely adores her like she is family... If I lived in the area where Jo runs her business It would certainly be the first point of call for us to look after our son.... We love her dearly and wish her all the best with her new business and certainly would recommend her... :)

I first met Jo when she worked at the nursery my daughter went to. My daughter loved Jo and always talked about her. When i heard she had set up her own childminding services in the erdington area she was the first person I thought of to look after my daughter for before and after school. Jo and her mum treated my daughter and myself and partner like family, They always kept us up to date with new developments and always informed myself about how my daughter was getting on. My daughter loved going to Jos and still talks about it now and she is 11. Jo always goes above and beyond what you expect of a childminder and always put the childrens needs first and works closely with familys to get the best out of the children. I would not hesitate to recomend Jo to other families. Thankyou Jo for everything you did for my daughter and our family.

I can't praise Jo enough. My two children have been cared for by Jo and her mom for several years and it's like leaving them with your mom/big sister. My son was diagnosed autistic at the age of 3 and the support I received from Jo was outstanding. She came with me to visit potential schools, attended meetings with psychologists, speech and language therapists etc... And was always happy to listen, support and give advice. The work Jo did with my son at her home was above and beyond what was expected from her, despite his challenging behavior, Jo never showed if she was worn out by him and always included him wholly as part of the group but also spent time alone to give him that one to one support he needed. My children were always happy in jo's care and all their social, emotional and developmental needs were met in full. It is clear Jo loves her job and the welfare of children in her care is jo's priority. Thanks Jo, you made a hard few years easier to cope with.
