thank you for the best one and half year

Kelly has been childminding my daughter Vanessa (3 years 11months) since January 2018 till July 2019. She looks after her for 5 days each week.

I have been extremely happy with the care Vanessa has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Kelly’s care. Kelly’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and Vanessa has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Kelly’s warm and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.

She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know Vanessa has recently enjoyed play in the garden, singing, dancing and trips to feed the horses and play with kitchen and dolls.

Kelly is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining Vanessa’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. When Vanessa steps outside his boundaries she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms which she understands. When she is hurt or feeling under the weather I know that she feels happy to be comforted by her and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure her health and safety.

Although I provide Vanessa’s food each day I know that she will provide snacks, water, fruit if she is exceptionally hungry or keen to eat what the older children are eating. I am also aware that Kelly ensures good personal hygiene in encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Kelly’s home which has ensured that Vanessa has remained healthy and bug free for the last 18 months.

Kelly talking with me or my husband detailing what Vanessa has done each day - including what she has eaten, how long if she has slept and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about day.

All in all I am thoroughly happy with the level of care Vanessa receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident and self assured little girl.

Would 100% recommend

My Sophia has been with her since Jan 2018 and I honestly couldn't have askes for someone better. She is very caring and and Sophia is always happy around her and other kids! Would totally recommend!
