I was first introduced to Nic by a work colleague. Prior to our little girl starting myself and my husband went to visit in her setting. Straight away she shared her beliefs about the setting she would provide and I was then 100% certain that Nic was the childminder for us.
Our little one started to attend the setting on a part time basis just before her first birthday and she settled in really well. It truly felt like our little one was a part of their family, building fantastic relationships with Steve, Jade and Roxi as well as Nic!
Nic was continually developing her knowledge and understanding through a wide range of professional development courses. The communication was ALWAYS to the highest level, whether that be through our little ones communication book, phone call, texts or day-to-day conversations. She was also a valuable source of information regarding children's development and it was clear that she had a clear understanding of the birth to 5 developmental stages and completed regular assessments to our little one and she also shared this information regularly.
Nic provided our little one with a wide range of experiences including play groups, soft play and she also worked closely with another local childminder which supported our little social skills even further.
I have already recommended Nic to a few different people who have been lucky enough to get a place in the setting. I shall continue to recommend Nic as I strongly believe that she develops a true love and affection for the children in her care as well as providing a safe and secure environment for the children to learn and develop.

Louis started with Nic back in August 2013 when he was 10 months old and has stayed with her until he started full time at pre-school when he was 4.
When we first met her, we most impressed by her warmth and easy-going nature but also the playroom she had set up at home which was great! Louis has really enjoyed his time with Nic and getting to know her family too.
She plans lots of activities either at home or trips out to parks, farm parks, soft play and has got Louis involved in all sorts of stuff like baking, craft, learning about different cultures and all kinds of imaginative play. At whatever stage, she provides lots of information on your child’s development. We really liked the daily diary particularly when Louis was little and we have been impressed by the regular progress report and learning journals.
We couldn’t have hoped to have found a better childminder – she is brilliant and so well deserving of her outstanding Ofsted review.

Well, what can I say about Nic? As a first time mum (and a bit of a control freak), I began the daunting task of finding someone I trusted to look after my precious baby boy. I didn't know how I was going to cope with going back to work fulltime knowing that my son was being cared for by a relative stranger. Well, I needn't have worried! From the minute we stepped in to Nic's home, with its fully equipped play room, family atmosphere and other happy and contented mindees, I knew I had found a place where I could leave my son safe in the knowledge that he was having fun and being well cared for. Since starting with Nic last April as a 10 month old, Harry has developed in to a sociable, confident and happy toddler. Nic provides all the children in her care with a rich and safe learning environment where they have the opportunity to grow and develop every day. She provides a range of activities both in her house, with her network of childminders, at different play groups and through a variety of different trips and visits. However it is not just these learning experiences that make Nic an incredible childminder, it is the smile on her face at 7.30 in the morning when she opens the door to greet my son, it is the genuine look of love she has in her eyes when she talks to him, it is the advice and support she has offered me and most of all it is the fact that as well as having Nic, Harry has the affection of her whole family from her husband, right down to Ruby the dog. He talks about them all constantly and they have welcomed my son into their family with open arms and as parents we will be eternally grateful to them all for this.
I am devastated that we have to leave due to relocation and I would recommend Nic time and time again. I wish I could pack her in one of my boxes and bring her with us but that would be so unfair on other children in Leicester. This lady won't just look after your child, she will go above and beyond to ensure that they are happy, are safe and are learning. Thank you Nic!!

Nic looked after our little man for 8 months and helped hugely with his personal development. Nic carried out many activities and arranged outings with other childminders which is great for getting young children to be confident in groups. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending Nic and any other childcare would be a step down.

My little boy has been going to Nic's for 3 years since he was 7 months old, and he absolutely loves it there, it's such a warm, friendly environment and is a home from home, there is a dedicated playroom full of wonderful toys, crafts and learning materials and a huge garden, allowing the kids to play freely in safety.
It's wonderful that my son is not just a number and is encouraged to develop his skills and learning through play, craft, singing and roll play, they celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and he is always brimming with seasonal crafts throughout the year!!
Along with home play they also attend playgroups which has helped my little one with interaction skills and to become a confident little boy within group surroundings. I would not hesitate in recommending Nic to anyone requiring a childminder in the Glenfield area :)

Nic has cared for my son since starting school in 2012. She was amazing helping him to settle quickly to school life and his new routine - he had always been in a nursery setting . He loves going to Nic's house there are so many toys and the garden is superb!! He is always disappointed when I collect him on the Friday ! Nic is lovely always approachable and very loving - the children are all so happy with her. She definitely goes the extra mile making gifts for mothers and fathers day and gifts for birthdays and Christmas - always appreciated xx My son is so happy being cared for by Nic.
