My son and daughter both have dysphagia which can make feeding and drinking an uncomfortable and dangerous experience. My son also has a submucous cleft palate and Autism. As you can imagine, finding childcare wasn't something I was comfortable about doing. Who would care for my children as well as I can? We went to a number of other providers and I wasn't keen on any of them and then we found Kat.
She's amazing with the children and so friendly . She keeps me up to date when we pick up and drop off, by text and via a contact book.
My children are always smiling when I collect them and she makes me smile too.
If she had a spare room, I'd move in!!
She is extremely professional and the children do lots of nice activities during the day to keep them busy, stimulated and learning.
Ofsted should have given Kat an outstanding because she most certainly is outstanding.

excellent childminder

kat looks after my young daughter... we moved to the area a few months ago and due to me working full time I was in need of a childminder....
I met with kat and my daughter immediately warmed to her... this was a huge relief for me and made the transition so much easier...
since then my daughter has fit in so well.. made new friends and just cant wait to go to kats in the mornings....
would highly recommend kat... shes a very lovely lady who is excellent wuth the children and makes them feel a part of the family!

Highly recommended

Kat has been my daughters childminder for nearly a year and I feel so lucky to have found her. She is patient, kind, gentle, imaginative and has got to know my daughter inside out. Whenever Kaitlin is with Kat, there is always something to do to fill her time. Kat always makes equal time for all the children she cares for, including reading with the older ones every day. Kats family are also very supportive and all make Kaitlin feel at home. Kat has shown great compassion when needed but has also had very defined house rules which I feel is so important to help settle a child and make them feel secure. Kat is extremely flexible with her time and has accommodated my changing work hours without question. Being in child are settings myself, I know how important it is to find the right person for your child and I have thankfully found that in Kat, and I strongly recommend her as anyone's first choice. I know next to me, she's Kaitlin a first choice and will be for many years to come! Thank you to Kat and her family for making Kaitlin feel part of it xx

Wonderful with children

Kat looked after my children when my mother in law broke her leg. At that time my whole family were experiencing a range of very serious issues or health problems and it was a difficult time for everyone especially the children. I was really anxious to have the perfect child minder to be able to support and care for my children whilst my husband and I were at work. Katrina was wonderful. Right from the first day we met with her the children adored her.
Kat knows exactly how to communicate with children and get the best from them. She provided a range of activities, encouraging the children to share activities as well as lead on games and had soon worked out my children's interests and ways to expand their imagination and keep them happily occupied all day. Kat was also really good at dealing with any challenging behaviours and my children responded really well to her when they were 'pushing the boundaries'.
My mother-in-law s better now and my children were sad to no longer be under Katrina's care. My children still talk about her and her family everyday - they see her at the school and always tell me they've seen her when I get home.
I thoroughly recommend Kat to anyone looking for a friendly child minder who really knows how to care for, and support, your children.
