My daughter started at CMs when she around 12 months old. Prior to deciding on CMs we viewed a number of nurseries and childminders in the area but as soon as we visited CMs we knew we had found the one! The children all seemed so happy. Karen asked if she could have a cuddle with my daughter and I could sense straight away how much she loved children - that was it, my mind was made up!
My daughter is such a sociable, funny and happy little girl and she absolutely adores Karen and Libbi (or Bibbi as my daughter calls her). I’m so impressed by all the different activities they do at CMs- clearly Karen has a wealth of experience in looking after the children and has so many ways to ensure they are always having fun but at the same time learning and developing.
Not only is Karen our childminder but she has also babysat for us a number of times (usually to help me out last minute, she is a godsend) and my daughter is always so excited when Karen arrives at our house! She’s more than happy for us to go out and for Karen to look after her!
The setting uses the baby days app and this shows you the daily menu, nap times, number of nappy changes etc but they also post photos of your child throughout the day along with a note letting you know how the children have spent the day. I absolutely love seeing photos of my daughter, especially as she always looks so happy! The also provides feedback on observations they do of the children with regards to their development and this is very insightful.
There are so many great things to say about this setting. The other children and their parents are all lovely. My daughter is always asking for play dates with her little friends from there! The playroom is welcoming and full of toys and different activities. The food menu is varied - my daughter seems to love the food! But most importantly Karen and Libbi are amazing and the way they care for the children is second to none. My daughter loves both of them and I have no doubt they love her back. It’s not just a childminders, it’s somewhere my daughter can go everyday and feel safe, loved and cared for. There is nothing more important than your child so to know our daughter is being so well looked after means the world.
I wholeheartedly recommend CMs and I will
be forever grateful to Karen and Libbi for caring for our precious daughter so impeccably!

We are so happy we got a place at Cheeky Monkeys. Our little one started there at 17 months and it is no coincidence that immediately he started to talking more (he had a couple of words before that).
Cheeky Monkeys is such a nurturing environment. Karen and Libby are such loving carers. They make the day full of fun, whilst subtly but very effectively helping the children develop at the same time.
I found Cheeky Monkeys while out with my son on mat leave. We were playing in the park and I experienced first hand how adept Karen is at handling children of all ages. She had three children in the park: a baby, a toddler and a pre-schooler. All were happy and content. She was pointing out things in the park to keep them all entertained, engaged and help them learn at their different levels. She is really such an outstanding childcare professional - with an abundance of experience combined with a deeply caring nature.
Every day when we drop our little one he runs in and gives Karen and Libby a big hug (and then tells me to go by shutting the door - harsh for me but a sign of how content he is there). He loves all of his friends and comes home happy and smiling.
Cheeky Monkeys uses the babydays app so we get updates throughout the day with photos and a daily notes telling us what they've been up to. It also includes details like sleep, toileting and milestones etc.
Karen and Libby have a big focus on getting out of the house too. They have a six seater buggy so they do lots of lovely adventures to local parks and garden centres.
They are also so supportive to parents. I'm always getting tips from them on ways to handle tantrums and weaning off the bottle. They even do an optional parents evening from time to time where they give you a thorough run through on your child's development.
In summary: Cheeky Monkeys really ticks all of the boxes when looking for excellent daycare. A friendly, loving, supportive environment, with a strong (but not overwhelming) focus on development, with lots of lovely activities to keep children happy and entertained, and plenty of fresh air.
Libby and Karen are truly outstanding individuals and I could not be more delighted that our son is looked after by them.
Thank you Karen and Libby for providing the most loving extension of our family home.

Cheeky Monkeys is a wonderful childcare setting and I am just so happy we found it for our daughter.
It’s such a caring, warm and nurturing environment, with a real home from home feel. The playroom and garden are beautiful with lots of toys and activities for them. Our daughter is so excited every morning, standing by the door waiting to go to Cheeky Monkeys!
Our daughter is just over two now and has been attending since just after her first birthday. She was born early and I was very protective and worried about leaving her in childcare, but Karen and her team were so wonderful in making sure she was settled in and soon enough she was thriving.
They do lots of lovely creative activities and educational ones too and our daughter has been making great progress with her development. There is also a caring family feel to the setting and you can see that the children are really encouraged to look out for one another and to be kind.
There is also regular updates and open communication, and an app which provides photos and information on what they have been doing, which I find reassuring when I’m missing my daughter during the day.
We really couldn't be more grateful for their support and care and would highly recommend this setting.

From the minute I visit Cheeky Monkeys I knew instantly tha I had finally and very thankfully found a setting that ticket ALL the boxes and more for us. Our daughter has been going to CMs since she was just under 10months and she has recently celebrate her 2nd birthday party at CMs. She is always happy to be dropped off and happily shut the door in our faces and waves goodbye. It astonishes me that she has never cried when we left her there. She has developed and grown sooooo much in this setting.
Karen and her team are always so loving, caring, attentive, have amazing communication, share lovely daily photos, videos, dailynotes, realistic observations and give special cuddles. You can so tell they love their job and the kids they look after when you hear them talk about their little CMs...it just feels so safe and fun. Karen is literally an angel in our lives, she is always going above and beyond with her caring nature, kindness and generosity. She is always trying to make our lives easy, she is very accommodating to our needs and helpful, for instance - my daughter has had months after months of being unwell and sometimes only able to go couple of days in a month and Karen would offer to have my daughter on a day of the week that she normally doesn't look after her just because they have missed her and would want to compensate a little bit on the days she has missed out and to top it all she wouldn't even charge extra.. I mean!!! Who does that?? She doesn't have to do that but she does because she is literally one of a kind ❤️ I was without a car over a couple of months which made the Fridays pick up on a shorter day a bit tricky for me, but Karen once again offered to drop my daughter off sometimes after her nap or in a time that was suited to me to make it easy for me. She did this massive favour a few times. Karen is so understanding and helpful, it makes our lives a 1000x lighter. We feel so lucky that our daughter attends CMs, it is simply the BEST for us. You bring happiness, calmness in so much busyness and madness.

My daughter has been with Cheeky Monkeys since she was about 18 months old when we moved to the area and she’s now nearly 3. She’s been thriving there - she loves going to the setting every day, and we can see from all the photos that she’s having a lovely time, doing different activities each day. They give us lots of feedback on her development and behaviours, and have been receptive to our requests such as shortening nap time. We’re super happy with the setting and we know our little one is too!

Our Son, 29months, has been attending Cheeky Monkey’s since he was 9 months old.
He was extremely premature and as a result when he first started was tiny for his age. This made it all the harder to leave him with anyone when I went back to work.
The worry of any parent returning to work is the environment they are leaving their baby/ child in, their safety, their development - physically/mentally/emotionally/ behavioural.
When I first visited I knew instantly that I had found the right place for my child and I am eternally grateful that I did find them.
Karen and the team have created something remarkable and special at Cheeky’s - a home from home where children are looked after with such care, love and structure that simply they are thriving.
From the warmth of each of the teams obvious love of childcare, the brilliant and constant updates on the baby days app and the visual progress Xander has made with them,
I couldn’t wish for a better setting for him as he grows.
The multiple activities they provide for the children daily astound me, such an enriching environment that I have not seen the standards of anywhere else. And as I talk to other mum friends about their childcare provider I am continually proud and relieved that DS attends Cheeky’s.
The team have helped me through difficult situations, behavioural phases and the daunting navigation of being a first time mum with such kindness, care and always with DS as their priority.
As of today he is advanced in his language for his age and his physical development is completely caught up to his due date age and he was even an early Walker at 11months!
But perhaps even more importantly his social skills, interaction with children and adults is constantly remarked on how good it is and Cheeky’s has played a vital crucial role in that.
I don’t think Karen and the team will ever know just how grateful we are that we found them and when I drop with them each day the peace of mind I have that he is with them for the day is irreplaceable.
I would not only recommend Cheeky’s to every one, I would let them know that if they are lucky enough to gain a place there, it will truly be the best decision they will ever make, it certainly was ours.

Cheeky Monkeys truly is a home away from home for my son (just turned 2) who has been attending this setting for just over a year now. This is a very rare find indeed. From day one he was very settled, comfortable, never any tears at drop off and has been impeccably looked after. The day he returned after the setting reopened post COVID crisis - it was like he had never been away (despite 4 months having passed) and he settled back in immediately. That evening returning home was the happiest I had seen him in many months. He was literally beaming to be back.
More than just childcare, this is the best combination of one-on-one attention, loving care, learning, social group elements with a variety of ages, outings and activities you can find for young children. The playroom is lovely, the garden big and welcoming and all the staff have hearts of gold. The weeks are often geared towards a theme (seasons of the year, animals, etc.) with all art/crafting, outings, cooking, role play, circle time, etc centred around this. For Halloween they served up a "spooky lunch" to rival most hotel children's menus and festivals such as Chinese New Year are explained, celebrated - they even had mini dumplings! The Babys Days app has a live feed which keeps you up to date with all going-ons throughout the day should you wish to check in - including regular photos and a daily note.
If you're looking for a place that has it all and a unique personal touch - Cheeky Monkeys is it. It's like a big close-knit family built on strong values. Don't hesitate to send your children here - they will flourish.

My 4 year old daughter has been going to Cheeky Monkeys since she was 7 months old. Here is her review:
“I like Karen’s and Lauren’s, when I go, it turns out a lovely day. Come here and play, we will have super fun. We also have to do numbers. We eat healthy foods. There are toys outside, like cars that we can drive with our feet. Karen and Lauren are so nice, you should come, you can have a little first day, and you can come. I love, love, love Karen and Lauren.”

My little boy has been attending Cheeky Monkey's for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with the care and attention he receives. Karen and her staff provide an extremely nurturing environment with plenty of stimulation and educational activities whilst also operating to high professional standards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other parents.
