Fantastic, Caring, Brilliant

As working, first time parents, we were nervous putting our 4-5 month old daughter into the hands of a childminder. However, the moment we saw Maggie, our daughter took to her instantly! We were impressed by the cleanliness of her place, her high energy, and dedication into giving these young stars a nurturing and loving environment. As teachers we were also delighted to see her following the EYFS curriculum. She plans activities and day trips that are super engaging and fun. Our daughter has come along way in terms of her fine motor skills. Our daughter is now 19+ months and no doubt because of the array of activities, her speech and acquisition of vocabulary has come a long way.
She offers advice and works with parents in terms of what will make our children thrive. During a busy workday it's a delight seeing a burst of photographs of what our little one is doing at Maggie's! Our daughter always looks happy showing just much she is enjoying herself. Also from the photos, we can see that Maggie capitalises on social interaction and teaches our children the importance of sharing and empathy.
Maggie is an excellent childminder and any child would be lucky to have her in their lives!

Like family!

Our daughter started in Aug 2022 when she was 12 month old. It just felt right when we visited Maggie’s place. She worked based on our preferences and confidence levels, from onboarding our daughter to sleeping patterns and from baby led weaning and ditching the dummy to potty training. Our daughter had an injury whilst we were on holidays and Maggie was able to support her recovery plan completely, keeping us informed at every stage.

Our daughter looks forward to joining Maggie every morning and she is disappointed when she doesn’t get to go! She loves the thematic months ranging from books to seasons and holidays. Maggie always arranges adventures outdoors, visiting parks, the zoo, play dates and even theatre! Our daughter is bilingual and her speech is great for her age in both languages when we don’t speak any English to her at home. Maggie keeps us updated with regular photos throughout the week through WhatsApp and she is always contactable. We really feel that Maggie is part of our family!

Tremendous childminder!

Where to begin...

Maggie from day one has been fantastic towards our daughter Sofia! Settling in was not a rush or pushy she took it as what Sofia needed not what 'majority' follow. She reassured us on WhatsApp with regular photos and messages with her progress and still almost 2 years later she is still doing the same for us :) She plans FANTASTIC days out which really make Sofia happy and always always has something fun planned weather its arts and crafts, playing with the enormous amounts of toys she has, musical instruments it's never a boring day with Maggie and her minded children if the photos and updates weren't enough Sofia has never once come home crying or upset about her day with Maggie! She's filled with love routine manners entertainment and an all round safe environment for the days she is with her! Maggie plans themes which she does with the kids and has introduced Sofia to so many new things, books, skills and language than we could ever provide for Sofia with her just being at home, she has learnt to socialise with other kids and she had a massive problem with sharing it was something that was no negotiable for her but Maggie helped her through all of that and she shares everything now even with other kids she doesn't know in the park! Truly amazing what Maggie has done for her and I don't say thank you enough to her because she absolutely deserves it! Potty training as well Maggie advised us loads on tips and tricks and followed Sofias lead and it didn't take long at all when she finally got the hang of it they practise pulling up trousers too and wiping properly. She makes great meals for the kids and her snacks are all healthy snacks. She's very open and kind and you can talk to her about just anything - you can tell she loves her job by the sheer amount that goes into her day to day all the planning and prepping. She always has time for parents at drop off and pick up and does respond to messages after hours and weekends if you ever need anything from her! Sofia loves her to pieces and really feels at home with her to the point she doesn't even look back when I drop her off in the mornings - if you are looking for a childminder then don't look any further because Maggie is your woman! I could write so much more about her because she's amazing so just message her if you are looking and you won't ever look back! Xxx

We adore Maggie

From the moment we entrusted our precious Alex to Maggie, we knew she would be the perfect choice. Even though we had our difficulties and our schedule didn’t match Maggie’s requirements, fate eventually made it happen. Maggie was kind enough to keep in touch with me and after a series of problems with another childminder, she made some arrangements and took Alex on board. Since Alex was 9 months old, Maggie has provided nothing short of exceptional care. Every day, we see Alex's smiling face and energy.
Maggie's exceptional organizational skills shine through as she meticulously plans activities weeks ahead, ensuring a varied and enriching experience for the children. Her understanding and accommodating nature make her an invaluable asset, especially for families with full-time commitments. Maggie's flexibility is a lifesaver, effortlessly adapting to our ever-changing schedules. She consistently goes the extra mile, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to our family's well-being, for which we are immensely grateful.
Moreover, Maggie's proactive approach extends to the digital realm, where her WhatsApp group serves as a delightful window into the day-to-day adventures of our little ones. Her regular updates and shared photos bring joy and reassurance, allowing us to stay connected and involved in our child's journey.
In essence, Maggie's remarkable organization, dedication, and thoughtful communication ensure that every day with her is filled with stimulating activities and meaningful learning experiences for our child.
We are endlessly grateful for the love, dedication, and professionalism shown by Maggie and cannot recommend her highly enough.

We love Maggie!

Our daughter started with Maggie in Jan ‘22 when she was 18 months old and took to Maggie immediately, like kindred spirits! She literally ran in and closed the door on me, I was definitely more upset than she was. I’ll never forget the first day she came home, new words, excited, full of energy.

Maggie is organised and plans activities weeks in advance, she is very understanding, accommodating and was super mindful and caring for my daughters eczema which was quite bad when she was younger. I always look forward to the photos and updates Maggie sends during the day.

Maggie has been nothing short of amazing, she has been there for our family and is such a positive role model to our daughter. We are so thankful to have her! We can’t recommend Maggie highly enough and cant wait for my younger daughter to start with her next year!

Amazing !

Our daughter started with Maggie in Jan 2020, she was 13 months old. Initially she found it tough but Maggie was really patient and understanding. She completely let our daughter lead with what she was comfortable with and within a couple of weeks we had no more tears and just smiles as she saw Maggie in the morning which was a huge relief for us.

Maggie is just fantastic and I would highly recommend.
She is so flexible which helps so much when you work full time. Nothing is too much trouble and Maggie often goes above and beyond for us as a family and we are extremely grateful.
Our daughter adores Maggie and the environment she has created for all the kids is amazing they feel part of her family.

The WhatsApp group that we have is brilliant as Maggie regularly shares pictures of what she is up too which is lovely for us.
Maggie is really organised and plans her weeks well. They are always out doing activities & learning different things each day.

Honestly, we will be forever grateful for finding Maggie. As a first time mum, I myself found it tough & daunting going back to work and having to find childcare but Maggie just made it so easy for all of us and everyday I go to work knowing my daughter is happy & content at Maggie’s.

More than we could have hoped for

Our daughter started at Maggie's at 10 months old in June 2018 and has had a fantastic time ever since. From the first visit Maggie was kind and patient and took the time to go through everything we wanted to know before we committed and we walked out of that visit excited for her to start caring for our daughter. Settling in was thorough and guided by the child but very quickly we were confident to leave her for a full day even with tears at drop off we would get pictures and messages moments later showing her happily having breakfast with the others. Maggie has been amazingly flexible which has been a godsend with my work. She has also been incredibly supportive with our parenting choices including taking on cloth nappies for our daughter without a second thought. She provides regular updates during the day of pictures of lovely activities both at home and trips out. I have recommended Maggie to every parent who has asked about childcare and will continue to send my daughter there as long as possible.

AMAZING!!!

Our daughter Aurora started going to Maggie in December 2018. She was 13 months old.

When we first went to visit Maggie both Simon and myself knew straight away Maggie was the best choice for Aurora. She was very welcoming and nothing was left unturned. We were shown around her beautiful home and made comfortable to be able to ask any questions.

During Aurora’s time with Maggie we have noticed a huge leap in her development and social skills. Her confidence around other adults and children has soared and we have noticed her being much more independent.

Maggie is constantly teaching our daughter new songs, rhymes and words, this has helped with her speech development and she is now using more words than average for her age and even beginning to form short sentences.

Aurora’s days with Maggie are structured and fun. Maggie ensures that Aurora is stimulated mentally and physically by taking her out to farms, parks, soft play and much more. She also has incredible themed weeks to teach the children in dept about certain topics. Recent themes have been - Chinese New Year and People who help us in the community. The children are given the option to dress up and experience fun, hands on learning.

Maggie has a whatsapp group with myself and Aurora’s father where we receive regular daily updates and photos. This gives us peace of mind Aurora is happy and looked after to a very high standard.

We hope to send Aurora to Maggie until she will start further school education. Maggie has now became part of our family. Aurora loves her dearly and we trust her completely.

Our Star

Adam started going to Maggie when he was only 9 months old and as first time parents we were very anxious in taking our son to a childminder, but after seeing all the comments that parents made about Maggie on the childcare website I knew she would be the right person for our son. And I was right because as soon as we met her I could tell how passionate she was with her job by the way she was talking to us and explaining what she had to offer and that reassured me a lot. And when he started she made sure we were kept up to date with their daily activities by sending us photos and messages telling us what they’ve been doing and that meant a lot to us.

My husband and I, sincerely appreciate the wonderful care she has given our son Adam we never have to worry about him because we know that he is always having a great day. She provide him with a safe environment which is very important to us. Her place is the perfect size because we feel he got the attention he needs to grow emotionally. In addition, we are very happy in all that he has learned for the past 4 months. Our expectations have been exceeded with the level of care he has received from Maggie.

We cannot thank you enough for the long hours you put in everyday to care for our son. We will continue to recommend your services to other parents. 💖

The Best!

I read Maggie's description and after texting back and forth I was shocked at how kind and patient she was. I had to meet her! Took the kids along for one day and never looked back. My son has autism and is extremely particular about who he will open up to. He usually speaks to absolutely no one. My daughter had never been in the care of anyone else other than us and yet they BOTH run to Maggie with open arms. When my son wakes up in the morning he's begging to go over there. She provides a home cooked meal everyday and an abundance of snacks. They're so well taken care of, I've never met anyone more genuine and honest. I'm so relieved I found Maggie, and I have never trusted anyone with the kids more than I do now. I get updates regularly all throughout the day and beautiful pictures of the children. She goes so far out of her way to make the kids and the parents comfortable. Meet Maggie just once and you'll see. Lovely lady 💖

Maggie Poppins

From the day we met Maggie we have never looked back - our son started aged 9 months and left aged 3 years.

As any mother knows; returning to work after maternity leave is daunting and heartbreaking but from day one our son Rufus has been so well looked after. I remember a time when he had not seen her in a while so we filmed his reaction; there was so much love and joy on Rufus’ face when she opened the door - this was all the clarification we needed that Maggie was the right person to care for our son.

Rufus has come along in leaps and bounds and has started nursery as a confident, socialable and bright young boy and this is down to the love, care and attention given by Maggie. I would highly recommend this childminder for her down to earth nurturing approach to caring for children - her enthusiasm is infectious and imagination when planning tasks for the term is mind blowing - some days I wish I would have been there rather than sat at a desk! Your son/daughter will never come home saying they have not had a fun day. They will also make wonderful and caring relationships with the other children - its so beautiful to watch them all grow and care about one another. It was always nice that our son had ‘a little life of his own’.

Should you wish to trial Maggie and want to discuss references further she will arrange this - I have no reservations in recommending Maggie.

Above and beyond anything you could hope for!

Our daughter started with Maggie a year ago at 18months old after a bad experience with a private nursery and we have never looked back and neither has our daughter- quite literally! Rose will happily walk in to Maggie's every morning and wave us off and close the door behind her. Even at the mention of going to Maggie's she's ecstatic, and why wouldn't she be as Maggie makes sure every day is fun packed, educational, structured and loving. She takes the children on outings, has an ever changing theme for the children to learn about, provides good, healthy meals and presents the food in creative exciting ways that encourages children to eat and to try new things. Maggie is so creative with the activities she does with the children, and she is always researching and looking for new things to do and invests significantly back into her resources to really enrich the kids' experience. On a more personal note Maggie is full of energy, genuine, kind, organised and understanding. It is with a heavy heart that we have had to find another childminder due to a house move, and for no other reason. Maggie truly is an exceptional childminder and exceeded my very high expectations.

Simply amazing!

Maggie had been looking after my daughter since she was 9 months old (she is now 2). We've had an amazing time and my little girl has learnt so much with her. She is extremely flexible and creative, they had themed weeks learning about all interesting things like transport, planets and dinosaurs. They also spend as much time as possible outdoors. We have a treasure box full of little art works they created. My little one has become very social as well, which was great as before she didn't have much interaction with other children.
Maggie is also great at sending updates which was really amazing at the start as it's never easy to leave your baby when you have to go to work. These photos always cheered me up seeing my little one having a blast.

A childminder who goes above and beyond the call o

This childminder is absolutely phenomenal and to this day I can't believe I found her on this website. As a first-time mum I was really scared about leaving my little girl who at the time was only seven months old with a stranger. I posted my need on this website and Maggie got in touch and was so enthusiastic over the phone that I had to meet her.

Upon meeting her I could tell just how much passion she had for working with children by the way she treated my little girl. She was less interested in discussing contracts, timings, penalties and restrictions and was much more interested in showing us what she could do and she took an immediate interest in my child rather than the bureaucracy that goes with childminding.

I was immediately put at ease and chose her to look after my little girl for 2 1/2 years until she joined a school based nursery. She is one of the youngest in her year having been born in August but I am always told just how clever she is and just how polite she is and I know that a lot of this is down to having had the most amazing childminder.

Maggie works alongside parents to achieve goals for children. She takes the children out on trips like they were her own, feeds them with good food, read to them, dances with them, sings with them, loves them, potty trains them, helps them to build their confidence and the list goes on and on.

OFSTED rates Maggie as outstanding; I rate her as a godsend. She will forever be in our lives now as to us she became much more than just a childminder.

Amazing!!!

Maggie has looked after my son for a few months now and all I can do is applaud her as she's been absolutely amazing!!! She has welcomed my son in, when returning to work after my mat leave & being my first child and being a little bit nervous leaving him with someone I do not know very well she has ensured me he's in good hands.

She has looked after him and the other children so well, taking them all as her own. She sends me pictures daily making sure I'm not missing out on him learning new things, the creative things they make/do, not forgetting the day trips out.

I truly do recommend Maggie as a great person/child minder and my son is happier than ever and really does enjoys his days with Maggie & the children which makes me happy placing him in her care.

Maggie has been minding our daughter since March and we are very happy with her so far. She is warm, personable and the kids all seem very happy in her care. They go out for trips and recently made a pottery plate for fathers day! She has been very flexilble as our daughter is only there 1 day a week but has had her more when we have needed this. She is now very settled with Maggie and I'm very happy to leave her, knowing she's in good hands, making the transition back to work quite easy.

Maggy has.been looking after my son for 5 months now. She has a deep affection for my son and he enjoys going to her house. She takes my son to all the groups, zoo and parks. she does creative things with him. i love the fact that Maggy texts me surprise picture messages of my son playing or eating his lunch etc. I would recommend Maggy to anyone who is looking for a childminder.

Excellent

Maggie has been looking after my son Lucas for few month now. Compare to nursery and other child minder in the past, Maggie has great energy and show great interest in child minding. Maggie looks after my son on Tuesday and Wednesday on these days Maggie ensure to bring Lucas an outing. Lucas has regularly been brought to the zoo, the farm, park and playgroups. Maggie also takes picture of outing so i am updated how he getting on during the day. Lucas has progress greatly with Maggie and i highly Recommend her as childminder.

An amazing lady whos been taking care of my daughter for 4 months now and my daughter is always so excited to see her and progressing so well in her care.Going back to work was daunting but maggie kept me updated and sent me pictures of my girl to help reassure me ,which worked and I am so grateful for that, I would definately recommend maggie to anyone who is looking for a childminder who is always doing activitys with the children to teach them help them and have fun with them. she is so full of life and so great with kids in all respects im so glad I chose her would not look back
