About Us
The staff and governors of Grange Primary School are committed to providing the very best education for all its pupils in an atmosphere where the children can feel happy, confident and valued.
In our last Ofsted we were judged to be a ‘good’ school and the inspection team noted that ‘Pupils behave well in lessons and at other times throughout the day. They are polite to each other and to adults. This helps to make the school a safe place in which pupils can learn.’
With approximately 630 pupils (from 3 to 11) on roll, we serve a diverse and supportive community with children who come from a variety of ethnic, language and religious backgrounds. We are an expanding school, moving from two to three form entry.
At present the teaching staff consists of 29 full time teachers including the headteacher, two deputies and an assistant headteacher with 3 part time teachers supporting Planning, Preparation and Assessment cover. Our team also includes a specialist MFL teacher and a sports coach who support PPA time and 32 Learning Support Assistants.
The school has a very positive ethos and relationships between staff, pupils and parents are excellent. Staff are supportive of each other and enjoy working here. The children are proud of their school and the parents are very loyal.
Our Grange mission statement is: ‘Learning together. Respecting each other. Achieving our Potential.’ Our dedicated team of staff work hard to ensure that all our children are given the broadest range of exciting learning experiences to enable them to fulfil their individual potential.
We also see all members of staff as life-long learners and are keen to support our teachers to reach their potential too.
The school is situated in Harrow, just off the Ridgeway, and is easily accessed via the Metropolitan and Piccadilly tube lines, British Rail and local bus services.
