About Us
Rachel McMillan is a maintained nursery school. We are one of the four nursery schools funded by Royal Greenwich Local Authority and one of only 408 maintained nursery schools left in England. We are a school like any other - we have a headteacher, a deputy headteacher and class teachers, as well as Early Years Practitioners, Teaching Assistants, Premises staff and Office staff. All our staff are well qualified and extremely experienced at working with young children and their families. We have been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted at our last 2 Ofsted inspections.

Our Childcare Provision
We have 4 classes that we call shelters and we provide early education and care for approximately 160 2, 3 and 4 year old children.
The 2 year olds can come for 15 hours per week free 8.45 a.m. - 11.45 a.m. 5 days per week or 12.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. 5 days per week.
The 3 and 4 year olds can come 15 hours per week free 9.15 a.m. - 11.45 a.m. or 12.45 p.m. - 3.15 p.m.
You are also able to buy extra hours for your 3 or 4 year old so you can make a day that is 8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. - please see our website or give us a call to find out further information or to make an appointment to come and see us.
We have an amazing, large, beautiful garden for your child to play in and we believe that children should learn through play, so our very experienced staff follow the children's interests closely so they can successfully support each individual child's learning.
We also believe that successful. positive relationships with the children and their families are the key to everything we do at the nursery.
