St Peter’s School, York, combines a rich heritage with outstanding academic achievement. Founded in 627AD, St Peter's is the fourth oldest school in the world with a long history of top-class education. Today, it is a leading independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 2-18.
St Peter's provides the ideal environment for pupils to succeed. The school offers an all-round education defined by an exceptional range of sporting, music, artistic and cultural opportunities, with an extensive 47-acre green campus at the heart of York.

Our Childcare Provision
St Peter's 2-8
We understand that many parents work and lead busy lives outside work. Because of this we have facilities for care both before and after school at St Peter's 2-8. Both facilities take place in the Rayson Room in the main school building and After School Care may involve outdoor play in the summer months.
Children have access to a wide range of activities including art and craft materials, board games, construction kits and iPads.
Children who are signed into After School Care or have not been collected will be supervised until 6.00 pm in After School Care. Charges for After School Care:
3.15-4.15pm Free of Charge
3.15-5.00 pm £3.00
3.15-6.00 pm £8.00
St Peter's 8-13
From 4.10pm until 5.20pm there are optional activities and supervised prep clubs for those pupils who remain at school for various reasons.
St Peter's 13-18
Day pupils can remain under our duty of care until 5.30pm on school days. There are a number of co-curricular activties, clubs and societies that run after class time is over.
