About Us
Timberley is a Fully Accessible Mainstream (FAM) Academy that is committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all children. We see our children as individuals and strive to fulfil not just their academic potential but their personal, spiritual, social, moral and emotional development through an exciting and stimulating environment. I firmly believe the importance of pastoral care at school and support from home to a young child’s confidence, well-being and security.

We envisage Timberley to be a hub of the community. Our school farm, Forest School and Community Kitchen provide our pupils and parents with opportunities not offered by other schools in the area. Our successful Stay and Play gives our parents time to meet other parents in the area, whilst keeping their little ones entertained.
The curriculum which we provide is broad, balanced, challenging and relevant. It is designed to develop not only each child’s full academic potential but also to help them to develop as well rounded individuals that show care, compassion and respect to everyone in our school and the local community. Our curriculum does not end as the school day ends. We have plenty of opportunities for the children to participate in a wide range of clubs run by the Academy staff and outside providers who volunteer their time generously and also a thriving breakfast club and tea club.
As a Local Leader of Education (LLE), I am able to support other schools in raising standards and achievement for their pupils. Over recent years, Timberley has supported numerous schools in the UK to improve their provision of the literacy curriculum.
I hope, like me, you feel strongly that we will achieve our educational aims for our children in partnership. I know that children learn best in an ethos of praise, encouragement and challenge.
We hope Timberley Academy enjoys a long and successful working relationship with you and your child.
