About Me
My name is Lauren and I run Little Peeps childcare in Barton Seagrave.
I am a great believer that childcare should be about creating a safe and warm environment for children to grow and blossom through adventure and play.
We regularly attend groups to extend on children’s learning and sensory experience, these have included music, Spanish, messy play, dance and yoga over the last year. Here children can mix and learn to socialise and play with others.
We currently attend a music bugs class on a weekly basis and enjoy regular visits to The Green Patch community garden project and also The Old Vicarage care home for inter generational activities.
We also enjoy taking local walks and trips to the park.
I strive to make my home welcoming for children with a dedicated play cabin with all weather outdoor area, we are also extending our space with the building project due to be complete soon. ?
In addition to this I provide regular arts and craft activities so children can create paintings and pictures to take home and share with you.
We also cook and explore tactile experiences such as playdough, cornflour and shaving foam to name but a few as young children learn the most about their world through touch.
Children are given plenty of opportunity to free play and discover, frequently using natural materials and resources - not just plastic toys.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and cover all 7 learning areas in order to help your child develop as they grow. Each child will have a "Learning Journey" with the use of the Tapestry appin which milestones, achievements and photgraphs are recorded online to your own private account so that you can see each precious success they achieve.
I also provide a daily feedback and photos so that you are able to see what your little one has done and eaten on a daily basis.
I am fully insured, Ofsted Registered and DBS checked with up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training.References are readily available and my Ofsted report can be found online, where I have been consistently graded as “Good” as recent as January 2024.
I also work with two assistants who are also both fully DBS checked, first aid trained and experienced.
I am friendly, approachable, understanding to each individual parent and child's needs and love to work with children seeing them reach big and small milestones every day. if you would like to meet with us and experience our setting, we would love to hear from you.

I have worked with children for over 20 years in a variety of roles and settings. This includes:

My Qualifications
I have completed all criteria outlined by Ofsted including attendance of the Early Years Induction Course.
I was graded as Good in all areas by Ofsted in Jan 2024. I also hold:
~ Paedatric First Aid Course
~ Child Protection Designated Person Course
We all regularly participate in further training in the field of childcare and development and have an extensive folder full of certificates for families to view.
My Availability
I am available during term time and school holidays Monday - Thursday.
My daily hours tend to range from 7.30am to 5.30pm however this can be discussed and adjusted to meet your individual needs where possible.

My daughter started little peeps a quiet shy 16month old, she has grown massively in confidence in the 2 years she has spent with lauren.
Lauren has offered a flexible and friendly service, she has offered a home from home setting but with a nursery feel
Ruby has loved going from day one, lauren spent time getting to know ruby and soon had her running through the front door without even a glance back to us. Her communication has always been excellent and catering to our daughters slightly unusual medical needs has never been a problem.

A one in a million child minder! Lauren has been my daughters childminder for nearly 2 years and is absolutely amazing! My daughter absolutely loves her to pieces and has always had fun packed days when she has been with her. Lauren is so passionate about her job, and it just shows with the love and care that she uses to nurture every child she looks after. Lauren is incredibly flexible of my work schedule and is super approachable if I need to discuss hours etc. My daughter has flourished under her care, and now even attends the school Lauren does school pick ups from as we couldn't lose her as a childminder!! Would highly recommend 1,000,000% to anyone!

I would highly recommend Lauren. I was apprehensive about leaving my young son (under 1) with a child minder as he is normally looked after by family but after meeting Lauren I felt completely comfortable leaving him with her. Lauren was so welcoming and supportive, happy to cater to any of my requests and routines that my son has to help aid the transition. I got to see pictures and received regular updates while he was there to put my mind at rest. The vast range of activities that my son experienced during his time with Lauren really impressed me, her knowledge and enthusiasm for children to learn through touch and experience different things was brilliant.
If I ever need a child minder again then Lauren will be the first person I call.
