Hello!
My name is Dawn, I am a 30 year old female with many years of professional and personal experience in caring for babies and children.
I am a registered midwife and including training I have been doing midwifery for 4 years. Prior to this I was a nanny for 7 years.
I also have a daughter who was born in 2018, she is currently 5 years old.
I have a wide range of experience and can offer many services.
Mainly occasional babysitting, and antenatal/postnatal assistance.
I am also available to provide assistance as a wedding nanny.
I am a very reliable, honest person, and have great communication skills.
I am very creative so no matter what the weather, I can create fun activities for children of all ages.
I have a passion for antenatal and postnatal care, therefore love to provide support for mothers and their babies.
My Experience
Prior to midwifery, my nanny career saw me care for children from newborn age up to teenagers. I have had up to 4 children in my care at the same time.
Since commencing my midwifery career, I have worked across all areas including antenatal, postnatal, and labour care.
Please note as a antenatal/postnatal carer I can provide emotional and educational support, as well as assisting with your baby/s in the early days. However I am unable to carry out any medical or clinical aspects as it would be against my registration to do this outwith my post as a midwife.
My Qualifications
I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Midwifery.
I have PVG and first aid certificates.
I own a full UK drivers licence.
I have two 60 credit university modules in childcare, and an SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People).
My Availability
I am a midwife working 30 hours per week, therefore my availability will depend on my shifts. For this reason, I offer occasional babysitting/maternity care rather than set days. I have these shifts at least one month in advance, so can plan ahead with you. I can also provide day off requests to my work if you require assistance and can provide dates more than 2 months in advance.
I can provide after school care from Menstrie primary school.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Maternity Nursing from £16.00 per hour (net)
Babysitter rates:
1 child - £15/hr
2+ children - £20/hr
Overnight set rate:
If you require overnight babysitting, between midnight and 7am, I have a set rate of £80, rather than the rates above.
After school care set rate:
3-6pm £40.
Postnatal care rates:
£16/hr (regardless whether singleton, twins, triplets)
