About Me
Hi my name is Donna. I run a small registered childminding business from my home in Musselburgh near Lewisvale park. I'm a qualified childcare practitioner and a mum of two young children.
I have a passion for childcare and see it as my long term career. I plan to continue my own education in early years as my career progresses and I am currently working towards a BA in early childhood with the open university which allows me to run my business whilst studying at the same time.
My Experience
I am confident in administering first aid if needed and hold an up to date paediatric first aid certificate.
I have lots of experience working with different families from all backgrounds and I am confident in using varying parenting styles and techniques based on what you do at home.
I provide the children in my care with new experiences and learning opportunities each day based on the children's individual needs and interests. We spend lots of time playing outdoors and exploring.
The play environment is my main focus. Creating a space where children are free to choose activities based on their own interests and express their own creativity.
I take a holistic approach to observing the children's play considering all aspects of learning and development.

My Availability
8am - 5.30pm but can be flexible if needed

I recently hired Donna to babysit my eight month old baby and can not fault her in any way. Donna was great at communicating with me prior to the evening, suggested a meet up to get to know each other (and introduce her to my baby) and was thoroughly friendly and professional. On the evening of the babysit, Donna arrived promptly at my property, immediately got hands on with feeding my baby (as agreed previously) and settled her to bed without a problem. Having someone reliable, knowledgeable and friendly as Donna was exactly what we needed and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others.
