About Me
Child development is something I’m very passionate about, and have been throughout my career. It is important as a parent that you feel comfortable and confident that my style of childcare is consistent your parenting style. I have experience of caring for children with a range of developmental and communication difficulties, autism spectrum/neuro-diversity and mental health difficulties. I will support any additional therapy(s) such as physiotherapy, speech and language etc where required.
In my ‘spare’ time I also work as a freelance designer/illustrator, so there’ll always be creative activities on offer!
My Experience
Experienced childcare across all ages 0-21
I’ve worked across a range of childcare settings over the past 15 years, including residential special needs school, where I gained experience with sign language and PECS communication.
Behaviour management is something that should be discussed and agreed in advance with parents. To ensure everyone is comfortable with the approach (e.g. time out)
Positive reinforcement and clear boundaries are approaches that I have experience in using with all ages.

My Qualifications
Nursing degree (mental health)
Post graduate training-child development and attachment, challenging behaviour, safeguarding
12 years experience working with children and young people in a range of mental health settings
4 years working in a specialist care home, for children with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
Level 2 British Sign Language
My Availability
Availability is flexible to meet the needs of the child/family. To be agreed in advanced where ever possible, as I also work as a freelance artist, but there is some scope for flexibility at short notice, in an emergency for example.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
Dependant on service required; starting from £10/hour for bedtime babysitting
School drop off and collection depending on location of the school may include additional fuel costs
