My Requirements

I am looking for a regular PA/Carer for my 14 year old daughter, for 12 hours per month, as part of a Carer Support arrangement. This may be 6 hours on alternate weekends either Saturday or Sunday, or perhaps more flexible arrangements during school holidays. There may occasionally be additional hours by arrangement.
I am looking for someone who will be a good role model, be fun for my daughter to be with, and can hold firm boundaries when necessary.
My daughter has SEN, which mostly manifests as anxiety and avoidant behaviours, but can sometimes be excitable and loud so it is important that you have SEN and therapeutic child care experience and can connect well with her.
You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated because my daughter isn't motivated to go out or take part in activities, so you will need skill to encourage her.
My daughter is an amputee, having lost her arm as an infant. This doesn't physically impact much, but does impact psychologically as she has been badly bullied in recent years and is now self conscious about her appearance.
She is black British and conscious of her difference in a mostly white community. She has been racially bullied in the last two years.
It important that you have a clean driving licence and a car available to go out to do activities.
We have two small, friendly dogs, so if you spend time in our home you will need to be aware that our dogs will want to engage with you. They are hypoallergenic breeds and do not moult hair.
