About Me
Hello, from late August I will be offering full time nanny services as either live in or live out depending on family preference/accommodations. I have completed a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and am planning to study Children’s Nursing and university in September 2025. Within these nanny services I am able to do school pick ups and drop offs, taking to clubs, helping with homework and morning/evening routines. I am also able to do some light housework if requested by the family such as washing, dishes, and general cleaning. I am travelling until the beginning of August and when I return I will obtain my DBS check; I have previously had a clean DBS check which expired earlier this year but it is a priority when I return. I have a level 2 hygiene qualification, and have previously been first aid trained, which I am happy to complete again if requested. I am punctual and reliable and good with time management, I have a full, clean drivers license and my own car. Please note, I do not have experience with young babies (under 10/11 months) so if you have a newborn or a young baby then my services may not be right for you.
My Experience
I have worked at an after school club for the last year with children ages 4-10, which included preparing snacks, playing outside, doing arts and craft projects, reading together, and playing group games. I was a leader at my local cub group for 4 years which consisted of a range of activities, including teaching household skills such as ironing, cooking and sewing, outdoor skills such as map reading, camping and cooking outdoors. These children were ages 8-10. For the last 5 years, I have been a badminton coach for children aged 7-18 with various abilities, meaning I have experience working with children with a huge range of ages, abilities and needs in multiple areas of life. It has also given me perspective on how to communicate with different children and how best to understand them and their needs. I do ad hoc babysitting and have babysat for a few different families with children ranging from 15 months up to 12 years of age which has given me more knowledge on younger children as well as older.
My Qualifications
I have previously had an enhanced DBS check which expired earlier in 2024, but I will obtain one again in August and have a food hygiene level 2 qualification. I have knowledge in safeguarding due to previous work experience and my college course, and I am happy to complete safeguarding training. I have been first aid trained previously but this has expired, I am happy to complete paediatric first aid training before starting work if requested, and will complete ASAP even if not required before starting work. I have also completed my Level 3 in Health and Social Care from sixth form college.
My Availability
I can be flexible with days and hours for the right family and am available all days except one weekend day; I am happy to work one weekend day, and happy for this to change week to week however will not be able to work both days on the weekend. I am available for most days during the week, and can discuss hours and days needed with the family to best suit them. The only day in the week I am usually unavailable is Wednesday evening, however I can work some Wednesday evenings when required. I can offer overnight care if needed on occasion, but not on a regular basis.
