About Me

I HAVE NOW FOUND A POSITION FOR JULY 2024. Thank you to anyone who expressed interest in chatting to m/hiring me. I will update this information if I'm ever lookign for a new childcare job.

Junior Nanny/Au-Pair Plus for a July 2024 start.

If you're ready to extend your family with the addition of a bubbly, compassionate, and hard-working nanny, then I might be the perfect fit for your family! I'm 23 years old and I am currently a live-in au pair for a lovely family in Sevenoaks, along with this job, I also tutor a range of students online. Unfortunately, my current family will no longer be needing au-pairs after July, due to the children attending boarding school next year. Therefore, I am looking for a live-in Nanny role in or around London, England .

I am an educator and childcare provider who is focused on establishing a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for children of all ages and backgrounds. Focusing my career on childcare and education has allowed me to hone my interpersonal skills and establish excellent team relationships with students, parents, and families. I am a qualified TEFL teacher. My innately vibrant personality enables me to thrive when working with children and creates invaluable memories for both of us.

I'm originally from the north-east of England, so English is my native language. I am also practicing to improve my French every day; I am at an A2/B1 level.
I am also fully DBS-checked on the update service. Alongside this, I am trained in paediatric first aid and have a Level 2 in Caring for Children and Young People.

My Experience

I have been with my current host family since September 2023 as a live-in au pair, so by the time I join a new family, I will have had almost a year of live-in childcare experience and will classify as a junior nanny.
I currently care for two lovely children of primary school age. During my role as an au pair, I have also acted as a babysitter for other families at the children's school due to being highly recommended by my host parents.
My responsibilities as an au pair so far have included preparing the children for school on a morning, light housework and laundry during the school day, collecting the children from school and their extracurricular clubs, helping them complete their homework, and preparing them for bed. This also includes spending time with them and having the privilege of getting to see their personalities grow as we get to know each other more and more, which has been the best part of the job.

The students that I teach and tutor online are very varied in age. I have taught children as young as 5 and all the way up to GCSE level. I also have some lovely adult students learning English as a second language.

I have experience indirectly working with children through various hospitality roles. However, during my time at university, I was a project leader for a student volunteering project called 'Bonding Through Books'. This project aimed to work with children and schools online throughout the pandemic and then face-to-face in enrichment clubs once the pandemic was over. We aimed to create a safe and engaging learning environment outside of the curriculum for local children.

My Qualifications

Diploma of Higher Education in Zoology (university diploma)
Level 2 Caring for Children and Young People
TEFL certificate (qualified TEFL teacher)
Paediatric First Aider
College: A-Level Biology (C), A-Level Psychology (B), BTEC Medical Science (Distinction Star)
10 GCSEs at grades A*-B

My Availability

I am looking for a live-in position starting in July 2024. I am really flexible in terms of availability and hours for a role; I am open to both full-time and part-time as long as the position comes with accommodation for me to live full-time. My current position includes weekends off, but I am open to working some weekend hours for the right family.
