About Me
We are keen gardeners and have a love for nature, exploring and being outdoors in general. This passion means every year the children are involved in helping to grown as many vegetables and fruits as we can. We feel it is important for children of all ages to understand where food comes from, and the fresh ingredients that make it. This process often helps children to try new foods and encourages them to eat a larger more healthy variety of foods.
Our passion for cooking means that the children will always have a hot, home cooked meal available for them every day. We really enjoy cooking and want the children to achieve the same passion, we therefore dedicate certain days every week to having the children being involved in the cooking process. We make great tasting healthy balanced meals and lots of tasty treats to bring home for you all to try! This is also great for building self-confidence and having a real sense of pride in what they have achieved.
Our childcare creates great memories through interesting learning experiences for children, this is why our childcare is often spoken about as some of the best in Dawlish!
My Experience
Jenny Fillis
I am a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health Care Professionals Council. My training gives me the skills to be able break activities down and adjust them in order to meet the specific requirements of each individual child.
I have two children of my own which have both been in childcare so I have a good awareness of what is important with childcare from a parent perspective. I am keen to help children learn and achieve their full potential.
Gemma Eccles
I have 4 years of childminding experience and have received many wonderful comments that I am very proud of, for example; I am friendly, fun, colourful, outgoing and a really positive person.Over the last year I have studied sociology and psychology which has given me further insight into the behaviour of children.
I have one child of my own who is now school age and like to treat all children in my care with the same commitment and dedication that I show to my own child. This is demonstrated with my positive reputation in the community.

My Availability
Jen and Gems Before and after school childcare is available Monday to Friday between 6 am and 7 pm.
We are also open by request for later evening childcare.
We are happy to provide childcare for difficult working shift patterns or weekend childcare as we understand that many jobs require more difficult working hours
Childcare can also be provided for overnight stays, one off childcare, emergency care and respite for parents and carers.

- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

For a full price list please ask, or if you would like to know exactly how much your child care will cost please provide the days and hours you would like childcare.
I also offer emergency care (less than 24 hours notice), over night care, full weekend care, evening care, and one off care.

Gemma is a kind and thoughtful childminder and her care of my daughter is second to none. I work 3 days a week during which time Alice thrives in the creative and nurturing environment that Gemma provides. I also sometimes need additional care as my husband works away and Gemma's flexible and caring approach mean that I couldn't wish for a better childminder. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
Overall
Gemma is a fantstic childminder my daughter goes to her two days a week and enjoys herself so much im not sure if she ever wants to go home. She is always learning new things there and making lots of great peices of artwork. Having such a friendly and flexable service has made me feel much better about returning to work. I would recomend her to anyone and have already done so to a number of my friends.
