About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have been open since October 2013.I can care for 3 children under 5 and 3 under 8. I was inspected on the 5th February 2024 and I was graded Good in all areas.
I am a mother of 4 and have worked in teaching (lower primary) for 15 years. I have been childminding for nearly 10 years. I enjoy cooking, reading, singing, art and walking. I am an honest and loving person with a passion for working with children. I aim to provide quality care which focuses on your child and their needs and interests.
I live in a quiet area in Walnut Tree, with a spacious garden in which the children are able to develop their gross motor skills and develop their imagination, we also have an all weather garden which the children can freely access throughout the day. I have three spacious areas which will allow the children to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world they live in, whilst keeping them safe and secure through out the day. We have an allotment plot and provide the children with first hand experience of where food comes from, how it grows we also have a plot with a selection of fruit trees where the children will be able to observe how fruit grows on trees and bushes during the year and harvest it when ripe.
My Experience
I have worked in schools for 15yrs, in years 1 and 2 and worked closely with the EYFS as part of the transition to yr1 from foundation. I have been childminding for almost 11yrs (opened October 2013)
I have parenting experience, over the last 25yrs, bringing up my daughters and stepsons. Most recently I have had experience of caring for my Grandson.
Over the last 10years I have cared for children between 10 months to 10 years of age.
Prior to attending University I qualified as a Nursery Nurse (NNEB in 1992) where I had work experience in a home setting and nursery.

Claire is an exceptional and wonderful childminder. Shes Very caring,understanding and supportive to the family and children in her care. My child still want to go to her on a daily Basis.thank you soo for the warmth and confidence you in build in my son.

Claire is a brilliant childminder; exceptional communication with parents; reliable; genuinely cares about children and she ensures they all partake in a variety of activities in a safe warm environment (she is the only childminder our very clingy son has taken a shine to and goes to willingly). Any child going to Claires establishment will feel right at home, I recommend her highly :)
