My Experience

I’ve had recent experience caring for a 10 month old baby & am currently looking after an 18 month old which includes meal and snack preparation, preparing activities such as arts and crafts, walks to the park & library, bath time, making up bottles, changing nappies and bed time routines.

I was a regular babysitter for two young children for 5 years which included meal preparation & clean up, helping with homework, listening to them read and their bed time routines (shower, tidying room and in bed at a certain time specified by parents)
2013 - 2018

Currently, I am a professional Children's Chaperone at Chichester Festival Theatre. My responsibilities include the children's health & wellbeing, ensuring they have regular breaks, supervising their down time, time management & working well as a team.

LSA (Learning Support Assistant) working 1:1 in a year 5 class supporting a girl with learning difficulties for 1 year. My responsibilities included keeping her on task, supporting her during other activities outside of the classroom such as P.E or assembly, ensuring she felt safe and understood, helping her to become more independent and differentiating work to suit her ability where necessary.

LSA in a year 4 class for 1 year. My responsibilities included supporting the class teacher during the input at the beginning of the lessons, working with all the children throughout the week individually or in small groups, helping the children to become more independent, helping them and listening to them to solve issues such a friendships at playtime and ensuring all children feel safe and are protected (child protection).

Whilst training for my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education from September 2011 - July 2013, I had 1 family placement where I was a mother's help to a 6 year old, a 4 year old, a 3 year old and 6 month old twins for 1 term (14 weeks), I did 2 Nursery placements working with ages 6 months - 18 months and 3 - 4 years for 1 term each and 3 school placements working with ages 4-5 years, 5-7 years and 7-8 years for 1 term each.
