About Me

It’s a privilege to be a key part of any child’s early years and so, I am only looking for roles that will again provide that same challenge, connection and longevity.

Beyond maintaining the usual functions of domestic life, my time is somewhat dictated by the children’s interests, which ebb & flow so, I endeavour to plan appropriately.
We visit playgrounds, sand & water environments, local libraries, music classes, messy play sessions and swim regularly in the warmer months. Scootering, balance bikes, art, nature walks to collect 'treasures' and zoo days are other firm favourites.

I have a long work history and plenty of solid references from parents, many of whom remain firm friends. I have worked, always successfully, in nanny share arrangements for 15+ years and am proud of the wonderful sense of stability and community the children have experienced through my leadership.
I am a truly vocational childcarer and aim to feel like "the best money you ever spent", supporting the whole family unit, being flexible, trustworthy and committed.

I place huge importance on children, even those not yet verbal, feeling heard, respected, included and responded to. In my care your little person/s will have fun, develop critical thinking skills, feel challenged, grow in confidence and be valued and catered to as the individuals they are. I have worked with large families and also plenty of twins, from birth and also as they mature and their interests, talents and sensitivities diverge.

Often people want to quiz me about approaches to discipline. Almost without exception, a professional nurturer has no use for a punitive, draconian attitude. I believe in leading by example and that children who are engaged, valued, well rested and well fed can surprise us with their ability to make good choices.

I would particularly welcome enquiries from families requiring regular support on weekends and/or 3 days in the week.
