About Me
Hi my name is Pamela MacLean and I live in Longridge, West Lothian. I am married to Kenny and we have two beautiful grown up daughters Kayleigh aged 25 and Stephanie 20.
I am registered with SCSWIS and am a member of the Scottish Childminders Association.
My service provides a safe and secure, fun environment to positively nurture and enhance individual learning skills following current curriculum guidelines. I have a safe enclosed garden area for children to explore and immerse themselves in creative activities and play.
The children are encouraged to learn through fun activities and investigating their environment.
In Partnership with West Lothian Council I can provide 1140 funded childcare for 3/4year olds and eligible 2s.
I was awarded grade "6" -"EXCELLENT" in my last Inspection.
My Experience
Being a parent for 25 years and having a large extended family close by including nieces, nephews and cousins of all ages has given me great experience.
I have been a Childminder since 2004 and love the knowledge I have gained through courses, the parents I work with and most importantly through the children I've cared for over the years.
My Qualifications
Having completed my pre-registration training in 2004, I have continued to develop my skills through personal training in my own time. I completed the Scheme of Excellence for childrminders and SVQ3 Childcare, Learning and Development at West Lothian College. Over the years I have attended many training courses from First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child at the Centre,
Child Protection, Child Behaviour to name but a few.
My Availability
I am available throughout the year with exception of 5 weeks annual holiday. I provide a flexible working hours service to fit around parents working patterns.
I currently drop off/collect from Longridge Nursery and School but other nurseries and schools may be accommodated if it fits in with the schedule of children attending at the time.
I currently have full time and part-time availability. Please contact me and I will try to accommodate your needs.

We have been with Pamela for 3 and a half wonderful years and the fun filled and nurturing childcare she provides is second to none. From her home setting to the outings she takes the children on they are made to feel safe, part of the family and they always have an exciting and fun time. My daughter always tells me of the adventures they have had and absolutely loves spending time with Pamela and her family. You won’t find a better childminder to care for, nurture and love your child like Pamela does - she’s one in a million xx
