About Me
I have been working in childcare for over 30 years. I am NNEB and NVQ qualified and OFSTED registered. I have been a childminder for over 16 years and have previously worked as a nanny and in nurseries and pre-schools. I live in the Broadwater area of Stevenage. I am warm and caring and enjoy planning activities to aid the children’s development and ensure they have lots of fun!
In our household we have a lovely cat and a small puppy.
My Experience
I am an OFSTED registered 'good' childminder and I am also NNEB qualified and have also completed my NVQ 3 to update my knowledge. I also attend other training courses and Childminer Network meetings regularly. I worked as a nanny for 16 years with various different age children and have also worked in a nursey in Welwyn and a pre-school in Stevenage as well as helping set up and run a few toddler groups over the years.
I have been a childminder for 16 years now. I organise many activities with the children and attend local toddler groups and help to run a local childminding group. I have many varied toys and a good sized garden with many toys. I live very close to my local park and spend time there. At home I organise lots of fun activities for the children including painting, sticking, cooking, playdough.We also enjoy music sessions and lots of stories. I also take the children on outside outings such as farms, zoos, parks,walks to the woods, bowling, soft play, picnics,library.
I provide breakfast and snacks.

I was lucky enough to find Rachel and she was my sons first childminder. Rachel is a very caring and kind lady who did many great activities with my young son. I always knew he was in great hands and never had to worry when I was at work. My son always spoke about Rachel while at home and often told me she was his best friend. I would recommend to anyone.

Rachel has looked after all my children on a number of occasions. She was my original choice of childminder when I returned to work but she had no space :-( Over the last few years she has become a very good friend as well. She is trusted, kind, flexible, loving and overall fair. She always looks for new activities for the children and they love the care she provides. 1st class care in a loving family home.:-)
