About Me
My name is Charlotte Shayne and I am a mother to three beautiful girls ages 11, 3 and 1 years. I am a proud holder of an Ofsted childminder certificate; I have a great passion working in the childcare sector. My home is a spacious environment which offers the children the chance to explore and learn through play. My home is in walking distance to schools, parks and the town centre of Chichester. I have a cat who has been in the family for over 8 years. Kitty has been brought up to love and care for children. We also have a lovely small dog named Frankie, he is a Frug (French bulldog/pug, Frankie is a very loving 2 year old dog who has been bought up around my two girls.
I understand the importance of making sure our children are safe and protected; the love we have for our children are infinite. I can offer a warming environment which will nurture your child/children’s creative spirits and challenge their wondrous minds. I have resources which are educational for the children from all ages from babies up to school age. It is important for the children to play outdoors, as a family my daughters and I love playing in the garden and setting up activities; we also love going out to trips like the park, marina and farms. If you as a parent give your consent for outings I can let the children enjoy the outdoors in the safety of my care.
My Experience
I am a mother to three beautiful girls . Motherhood has given me great knowledge and a natural performance to look after children. I have worked in a nursery locally for one and half years; my expertise in the babies room from the age of 3months-2years. I have had experience working in the toddlers and preschool 3-5years for half of the year.
I became a childminder in 2016, I paused this career to go to university. I miss childminding! So I have made a choice to start again!
My Qualifications
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Workforce (Early Years Educator)
Advanced Level Apprenticeship in the Children and Young People’s Workforce: Early Years Educator
Edexcel BTEC Diploma Health and Social Care Level 3
Social work Bachelor degree with two years experience with West Sussex.
12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course
DBS checked - Disclosure and Barring Services (used to be known as CBR checked)
Safeguarding Children Level 2

Charlotte is an amazing childminder, she has looked after both my children once a week and they love coming to her! She always has fun activities planned and each Mothers Day or Fathers Day we get a present made by our children, it's lovely. Couldn't thank her enough for what she does ??

I had been struggling to find a childminder for when my 4 year old son started school and I had almost given up hope, then I found Charlotte, she has my son before school and after 2 days a week, she takes him and picks him up.
I have no worries leaving my son with Charlotte she is an amazing childminder he is so happy there, she gives him a hearty breakfast and dinner with plenty of healthy snacks in between.
She often takes him on outings recently they went to keydeles nursery to see all the Christmas lights which he loved.
She keeps a daily diary for me to see what he has eaten and what activities they have done.
I can honestly say Charlotte has been my saviour as I thought I may have to give up my job, I can 100% recommend her.
