Silvia is just the best!

Silvia (Sisi) cared and educated my son for over 18 months and I am so sad that the time has come for him to move on to nursery.

I was apprehensive about him settling due to him being a bit of a grump and very attached to me but K just walked straight in and started to play with Sisi and the resources.

Silvia is highly knowledgable and experienced, having worked with children for many years. She follows children’s interests, introduces them to new ideas and concepts and extends their learning. The children have opportunities to develop their social skills not only through playing with eachother, but by meeting up regularly with other childminding friends to share experiences with. The children regularly visit “the garden”, which is a local community space that a group of wonderful childminders have developed. Sisi worked super hard to develop this space, always collecting items and plants to enhance the children’s play and learning. Wet weather doesn’t put them off and they spend many days splashing in muddy puddles - what small child doesn’t delight in that!? As well as local meet ups and visits to the garden, Sisi has taken my son to the theatre, farm and rides on the bus.

My son really looked forward to going to Silvia’s house, particularly after the holidays when he was home with me (I work term time, which Silvia was happy to facilitate) and I always looked forward to him going back to Silvia where I knew my notoriously picky eater would gobble up plates of delicious, home cooked food.

We are going to miss Silvia immensely and I can’t recommend her highly enough. 10/10, just the best. ⭐️

Top-notch childminder

Silvia is a calm, loving and caring person. She minded our son since he was 10 months old, until he turned 3, and we're extremely fortunate and grateful she has been a key part of our little one's development.

It's been a wonderful journey, where we've learned a lot from her, and we've seen our son blossom into an independent, confident and self-reliant boy. There have been plenty highlights during this beautiful journey where we were felt amazed.

After the first 2 months under her care, our son learned some signs from sign language. This was a game changer, as he was now able to communicate with us (we had to learn the signs too). Soon after, he was able to grab a spoon and start eating by himself. And, by 18 months old, our little one was able to speak 2-3 word sentences.

Silvia plans lots of fun and creative activities every day, that helped the development of our son's motor, cognitive, and social skills. They went to the library, playgroups, museums, playgrounds, and... their secret garden to play with the mud kitchen! All of these provided a rich and stimulating environment for our son.

It's no coincidence that he developed great skills for his age under Silvia’s guidance. Some of our friends have kids of similar age and they were impressed with our son's skills, confidence and independence.

We can't recommend her highly enough!
