About Me

My name is Jolanta and I live with my husband and 2 sons: a 5 year old and a nearly 20 year old who is studying at university away most of the year. Our cat Trixie, who we love very much, is very tolerant towards the children and 2 cute bunnies are very cuddly. Children love playing with them and helping to look after them. We all live in Colchester, not far from Hamilton Primary School.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I have 27years experience in childcare, including 10 years experience working as a primary school teacher.
We have a child friendly back garden where children are able to free flow between indoor and outdoor activities. I offer fun and energetic activities in a safe and homely environment with the trips to the allotment, library, woods, park, ... I love arts and crafts and help children to learn and develop different skills through it. I provide opportunities to all age children to learn and to explore in many different ways. Sometimes I take children to our allotment to plant and to look after the fruit and veg as my husband loves gardenning. EYFS guidance and outcomes are beeing followed and individual planned activities are implemented weekly. I successfully prepare preschool children for the start of the school making sure they are confident in carrying out every day tasks, i.e. self care, social skills or educational knowledge. If required, I can offer the support with children's homework and other learning.
We are interested in healthy eating and can provide healthy and nutritious homemade meals and snacks.

I strive to provide an excellent service that meets parents requirements whilst ensuring a safe, caring, loving and enjoyable learning environment for the children.
