My Summary
About Me
I am 40 years old and have been a registered childminder since 2011 but I do have over 20 years Childcare experience. I also have my own daughter.
I currently drop off and collect children from St. Ambrose Barlow Catholic school in Hall Green and Lakey Lane School in Hall Green.
I work alongside an assistant which allows us to be able to offer more flexibility.
I also run the before & after school for both of these schools (which operates from the local church hall)
I'm a qualified nursery nurse & a qualified play worker.
I am currently working towards my 'Hygge in the Early Years accreditation'.
We regularly attend forest school sessions and we love for the children to explore the local environment. Our current children love nothing more than putting on their puddle suits and wellies and heading out for the day. We love to do the majority of our activities outdoors and can regularly be found at the local woods playing games, painting pictures, jumping in muddy puddles, building dens or reading stories (etc, etc)
We've also recently taken over an allotment and we can't wait to start using this regularly with the children, just a bit of clearing to do first!!

My Experience
I have worked in Childcare for more than 20 years starting as an apprentice in a private day nursery, I was then employed as a full time qualified member of staff and progressed to a senior member of staff. I then became a deputy manager at a local before & after school club.
I've been a registered childminder since 2011 and I am also registered with Birmingham City Council to be a children's chaperone. I have volunteered at a number of local children's clubs (dance schools) and ran a local playgroup. I still regularly volunteer for one dance school where I am also the joint safeguarding lead.

My 3 year old son comes to Tara and her team and he loves it! He comes out with a smile from ear to ear. The team are so happy and helpful. I can ask them anything whenever, they always have time for me and my son.
I’m so thankful to have found them. They have made my return to work so much easier. I go to work knowing my son loves where he is and he well cared for 😊
