Hello, I'm Stacey and I've been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2012. My husband Stephen is my Childminding Assistant and we work together to provide great quality childcare in Droylsden.
We have 3 beautiful daughters aged 20, 15 and 14. We also have a very friendly dog (a Labrador cross) and 3 sociable cats.
We live in a semi-detached house on a quiet corner not far from Sunnyside Road. We have a huge back garden which is directly next to woodland and is very secure and private. We are non-smokers and we promote a healthy lifestyle.
We do before school drop offs and after school pick ups from Greenside Primary school in Droylsden.
Activities available:
We provide a happy home environment and we have a safe and secure garden for outdoor play.
Before & after school activities include;
• Homework - if your child wants to, they can do their homework whilst in our care. We will happily help your child with their homework if they want it
• Drawing & colouring
• Reading - children can choose from a range of books including fiction and non-fiction, available for different ages, reading levels and individual interests
• Listening to music
• Film Fridays (popular with the kids!)
• Playing Just Dance
• Playing in my garden – we have a variety of outdoor toys that children are welcome to play with. We also have giant chalks and various ‘playground games’ they can play such as May I, Mr Wolf, Simon Says, Letters in your name, Tig etc
• Playing on games consoles/electronic tablets - children can use tablets and games consoles to play games or to help do their homework if they wish to. All of the games that the children play are of educational value, supervised and only available at limited times
• Playing board games & card games
• Other games - Hide & seek, Stop the bus, One sentence stories, Grapevine, role-playing, wink murder etc
• Playing with a variety of toys
School Holidays
Children that are with us during the school holidays have the following activities available to them:
• All of the activities listed above
• Painting, making things from reusable items and modelling clay etc
• Cooking & baking - children are included in any cooking if they wish to be involved and as long as it is safe for them to do so. I also provide specific cooking & baking activities
• Celebrate special holidays with food or activities e.g. Christmas, Pancake Day, Chinese New Year, Easter, Diwali etc
• Local trips out - we visit local parks, museums, art galleries, farms, science centres, libraries, indoor large play centres and parks for playing, nature walks and picnics (weather permitting) etc
Please note: I do NOT allow access to any social media when children are in my care UNLESS it is specifically needed for educational purposes and it is ALWAYS fully supervised.
I am fully insured through Childcare.co.uk. My husband, my eldest daughter and myself have been enhanced CRB/DBS checked and received clearance from Ofsted. We are all paediatric first aid trained. All registration/insurances/clearances are available to see at any time during your visit.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2012. I have worked with children of all ages since before leaving school by going to various clubs for kids and eventually helping to run them.
After my experiences working with kids in clubs, I decided that I wanted to work with children as a career. I qualified as a level 3 Teaching Assistant and from there went on to become a qualified Childminder and I love it!
My Qualifications
As well as being a qualified Childminder I am also a qualified level 3 Teaching Assistant.
My husband, my eldest daughter and myself are all fully trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding children and other relevant qualifications. All certificates are available to see during your visit.
We complete regular training courses to keep up to date with the latest qualifications and information so that we can provide great childcare for your child/ren.
My Availability
Our hours of work are usually between 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am - 5pm on Fridays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
We don't do hourly fees, we do set fees - this is to give parents more flexibility and allows them to collect at any point during our opening hours.
My rates are in line with other local childminders. (Please ignore the childminder rates section, the app required an amount putting in).

Stacey and her husband look after my son after school. He started going this September he struggles with new people/routines but they are warm and friendly and my son settled very quickly and loves it there. They have different activities and film Friday which he loves. I’d highly recommend them to look after your child as they are not only great child minders but very reliable.

Amazing childminders, went above and beyond. Always kept me informed about my child and his school day of anything had happened. My 5 year old was really happy to attend in the morning and after school and they made him feel so welcome

Stacey & Steven provide a home away from home. Plenty of different activities for the children. They are both friendly,warm,welcoming people. My children are happy & settled with them.

My son started going to Stacey and Stephens in September this year , he enjoys going and tells me all about the fun things he gets up to whilst he’s there . My son especially enjoys playing board games with the other children. Stacey and Stephen always show my son so much care and are both very friendly and very accommodating when needing extra sessions . I feel my son has settled in well and I know he loves going to Stacey and Stephens .

I highly recommend Stacey and Stephen both lovely people. Brilliant childminders, They are very reliable, professional, friendly and trustworthy.
They have been collecting my little boy from school for over a year. I work different shifts and they are always happy to help and accommodate. I would not use anyone else ⭐

My two boys have been going to this Childminder for three years and I can honestly say that they have been absolutely brilliant the whole time my kids have been minded by Stacey and Stephen. My boys absolutely love going to the there house. They have been brilliant throughout the pandemic and making changes to help me with my job which I can’t thank them enough for. The house is absolutely spotless, the kids have so much fun here with lots to do. Stacey and Stephen helped my boys so much with there school work through the pandemic as the boys were not in school and I still had to work every day the boys done there schoolwork at the Childminder’s it was such a help. I can honestly say that I would highly recommend this Childminder to anyone they are very professional and they know there stuff they are consistent and have rules in place that I feel benefit the children a lot. They know how I feel about them and I can’t thank them enough they also have children of there own who may I say are fantastic very polite young ladies so thank you to all of you 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My children have been going to stacey’s for about 4 years now she is kind, caring and genuinely cares for my children as does Stephen. They go above and beyond to help you when ever they can and have made my working life a whole lot easier and put my mind at ease knowing that my children are safe and well looked after by them, they love going to Staceys, so thank you to you both for doing an amazing job you truly are the best ☺️

Stacey has looked after my youngest daughter who's now 10 for years & before her my eldest daughter who's nearly 16 & still calls in for a chat ☺ my girls have always been happy with stacey, she is fun, fair, kind & runs a safe home which as a parent is all you ask for in a childminder but stacey has often gone above & beyond & helped both me & my girls out in emergency situations, shes been amazing ☺ we love stacey xxx

My children goto Stacey and Stephen for their child care before and after school. I am more than happy with the way they treat my children and my children love going there.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anybody that needs a childminder
