About Me

My name is Anna I am 41 and I have three children Chloe 20 Kyle 18 and Madalyn 15, I also work with my partner Andy.
I have a number of animals in my home which the children love to pet and play with- 1 small friendly dog, 7 cats, 2 tortoise.

I have a good grade from OFSTED

In my setting I have a range of toys from shape sorters and happy land to kitchens and role play I have lots of messy play activities on offer also e.g. Play doh, painting, glueing and sticking. We also love stories , rhymes and singing and try to incorporate these into everyday activities. My garden is a good size with two sets of decking one of which is under cover allowing us to use the garden most of the year, I have a large two storey Wendy house and a trampoline with plenty of trikes and scooters. There is a slide and a smaller playhouse for the younger children to enjoy. We regularly have sand, water and mud outside for the children to get really messy with and generally enjoy spending whatever time we can outdoors exploring so a couple of changes of clothes is highly recommended .

In addition to what's on offer inside the setting we also go out regularly some of the places we go are parks, soft play, farms, woods, museums, toddler groups, sensory play groups, dance classes and story / rhymes groups.
Occasionally we also do day trips eg zoo, Stratfords butterfly farm and sea life centre.

We love to get out as much as possible and explore the world and are lucky enough to have some lovely parks and woods close by that the children enjoy on a regular basis.

I have a fairly relaxed approach to minding and usually try to follow the children's lead but always trying to expand on learning opportunities and offer new ideas. I believe children learn and develop best when they are free to explore, play and be themselves whoever that may be, I like to encourage children to make their own decisions where possible and we always promote kindness, good manners and respectfulness of others.

I use an online system to keep track of the children's progress and log their daily food intake, nappy changes and plenty of photos which parents can access throughout the day, this system has worked well and parents enjoy being able to see what their children have been doing throughout the day as I try upload photos as we go.

All the children that come into my care become like family and are treated just as my own children are, I make sure that they feel loved and safe until collection time, my own children love to play with the minded children after school and have a great relationship with them.
We offer a safe and enabling environment for children to play, explore and learn indoors and out.
